John Sandes knight to John Lislebone knight. Recognisance for 1,000l., to be levied etc. in the county of Suthampton.

To the sheriff of Bukingham. Writ of supersedeas omnino, and order by mainprise of William Purcell, Walter Cranforde, Robert Power and Thomas Loueden of Bukinghamshire to set free Alan de Ayate, John Clerc, John Blyseworth, both of Shaldeston, Robert Undurne, John Herber de and Walter Blundell of Shaldeston, if taken at suit of John prior of Luffelde and brother Adam de Estneston monk his fellow averring threats.
John Sondes knight and John Lilbone knight. Indenture of defeasance of the (above) recognisances, upon condition that either shall abide the award of Thomas archbishop of York concerning all actions, claims and demands of John Lilbone against John Sondes and Joan his wife in regard to manors and lands sometime of Sir Hugh Boucy in Sussex and Surrey, delivering all fines, muniments etc. to him whom the archbishop shall appoint, provided the award be made before Midsummer next, otherwise these recognisances shall be void. Dated London, 4 February 12 Richard II. French.

To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against Richard (sic) Rous the father, and order to release any distress upon him made, although lately the king appointed John (sic) Rous and others to make inquisition in Worcestershire what evildoers and breakers of the peace slew John Wodewarde at 'Malvernewode,' how and at whose procurement, and who after harboured them, proceeding nevertheless against others who meddled therein; as that commission was not delivered to the said John (sic), nor did he receive it for execution, nor meddle in aught therein contained, as Richard Rous son of the said Richard (sic) has made oath in chancery.

William son of William Gobyoun of Stapilforde to James de Billyngforde. Recognisance for 436 marks, to be levied etc. in Hertfordshire.
The said James to the said William the son. Like recognisance.
Memorandum of defeasance, upon condition that on Thursday before the first week in Lent the said James pay 38 marks, at the quinzaine of Easter following 40l., on Sunday before Christmas following 60l., and at Michaelmas following 20l.
James de Billyngforde and William son of William Gobyoun of Stapulforde. Indenture of defeasance of (the above) recognisance made by the said William, upon condition that the said James, John Chircheman citizen of London, William Horbury clerk, Paul de Middelton and John Spynke, their heirs and assigns, shall peaceably hold the manor, lands etc. in Stapulforde co. Hertford called Gobyouns, certain lands in the field called Boundeleye excepted, not being hindered from taking the profits thereof, without fraud or covin.
