To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against William bishop of Karliol, appointed with others, by name of William de Stirkelande clerk, to make inquisition concerning the names of all men in Cumberland who, not having fisheries in the river Eden, have many times fished therein in time of fence with nets and other engines contrary to the statutes, setting in divers parts thereof kiddles and other engines by divers settings and fixings of pales, but order to continue process against others who did meddle therein; as the bishop has made oath in chancery that that commission came not to his hands.

Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 7 November this year by John Preston of the county of Suthampton, John Merse of Yorkshire, John Toly of Cambridgeshire and John Pykwelle of Leycestershire esquires for Simon Campe esquire, that he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to Thomas Horseman of Kent.

Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against Edmund Spersholt and Thomas Rothewelle late escheator in Berkshire, by the late king appointed with others to make inquisition there whether the manor of Wantynge ought to pertain to that king by reason of the nonage of Fulk Fitz Waryn son and heir of Fulk Fitz Waryn or no, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as the said Edmund and Thomas did not execute that commission, as William Broune of Wantynge has made oath in chancery.
