Leicester.
To the mayor and sheriffs of London. Order, so far as to them pertains, to execute a judgment against William Serle, when he shall be brought to London and they shall be required on behalf of the king; as it was determined by William Gascoigne the chief justice that William Serle, who on 26 July last at York was before him convicted of divers treasons contrary to his allegiance, should be in that city and thence in divers other cities and boroughs dragged to the city of London, and from the Tower of London through the midst of the streets of London to the gallows of Tyburne, and should there be hanged, beheaded, drawn and quartered.
