April 8.
Westminster.
To John Caux escheator in Somerset. Order to give Alice late the wife of John Kenne livery of the manor of Kyngeston, and the issues thereof taken, but to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with the manors of Ken and Huwych by Kyngeston Seymour, delivering to her any issues thereof taken; as it is found by inquisition, taken before the escheator, that at his death her husband held those manors with the knights' fees, advowsons etc. as jointly enfeoffed with her by gift of Thomas Garenter and John Walsch chaplains to them, by name of John Ken and Alice his wife daughter sometime of Reynold Perl of Bristol, and to the heirs and assigns of John Kenne, and that the manor of Kyngeston is held by knight service of the king as of the duchy of Lancastre, namely of the honour of Troubrygge, and the other manors of others than the king; and on 14 October 1 Henry IV of his particular knowledge and with assent of the parliament holden that year the king made a grant and declaration that all tenants of that duchy and of the counties, honours, manors, fees etc. thereto pertaining and their heirs should be as free in entering their heritages after the death of their ancestors, and in their tenures and otherwise as they might and ought to be had the dignity of king never fallen to him.

To the escheator in Salop. Order to take of Alice who was [wife] of Roger Forster of Welyngton an oath etc., and in presence of Roger son and heir of her husband, or of his attorneys, to assign her dower.
April 18.
Corston.
To Angelus Christofori a Lumbard dwelling in London. Licence to make a letter of exchange to his fellows dwelling in foreign parts for 20 marks there payable to Thomas Broun clerk, provided that by colour of this licence no gold or silver in the lump or in coin shall be sent over thither.
April 7.
St. Albans.
To Nero and John Victor merchants of Florence dwelling in London. Licence to receive 200l. of Master Roger Basset clerk, and to make letters of exchange to their fellows dwelling in foreign parts for payment there of that sum to the said Roger, provided (as above). By K.
