To Th. archbishop of Canterbury. Summons to the parliament at Gloucestre in the march of Wales on the date above mentioned, and not at Coventre; as the king has appointed the prince of Wales shortly to march upon Wales with a set number of the lieges in his company, in order to war with the rebels therein, and to punish and conquer them, and hopes that he will be the more successful the nearer the king with his council and power, and with the lords and commons shall be for governance and protection of him and his. Quitclaim of all lands, rents, reversions and services in Stone, Hamme, Alkynton, Wanyswelle, Falefelde, Nubbeley and elsewhere in the hundred of Berkeley, and of the advowson of a chantry at the altar of St. Mary in Stone chapel, which they have for a term of ten years by his demise. Quitclaim of the manor of Stevyngton, of all lands, rents and services in Basynge, Basyngstoke and 'Fysshweremede,' and the reversions thereof when they shall fall in, the manor of Weldoun, the manor of Wencles and Madmore meadow, and the manors of Beaurepeyre and Polyngfold, and of all other lands etc. in the counties of Suthampton, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and Norhampton now held by the said William which the said clerk had by gift of Bernard Brocas knight grandfather of the said William; and general release of all personal actions.
