Writ of supersedeas in respect of any process against Thomas Hauley, appointed with others to make inquisition what corn and other victuals were taken by William de Wele of Grymesby from divers lieges at Totteney, Scarcowe (sic) and elsewhere in Lincolnshire against their will for victualling the king in Scotland when last there, and he contented them not, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as that commission came not to the hands of the said Thomas, as the king has learned by trustworthy witness.

Writ of supersedeas omnino, upon petition of John Littelbury knight, in respect of any process against him for the mainprise hereinafter mentioned, saving the king's action for the same against Peter Pole, John Fynderne and William Lisle of Oxfordshire; as his petition shews that 9l. 10s. 3d. a year is current in demand in the exchequer against William Meynell knight deceased as the extent of the wardship, to the said William committed by mainprise of the said Peter, John Fynderne, the petitioner by name of John Littelbury of Lincolnshire knight, and William Lisle, of the lands of Hugh Meynell knight deceased in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Leycestershire which were in the late king's hand by death of Joan mother of the said William, who held the same as jointly enfeoffed with Richard Meynell knight her husband, and by reason of the nonage of Thomasia one of the daughters and heirs of Ralph son of the said Hugh and of Margery the other daughter and heir of the said Hugh (sic), praying to be discharged of that mainprise. Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 40l. made in chancery 1 May this year by Nicholas Soterlee of Suffolk, Thomas atte Lee of Hertfordshire, John Middelton of Oxfordshire and John Sperston of London for Roger Soterlee, that he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to Thomas Brumman, Walter Wylet, Thomas Medewe, Hugh Elyot, John Elyot, Edmund Wylet, Thomas Maunawe and John Lece, all of Soterlee.
Richard abbot of Thame and the convent to the prior and canons of Dunstaple and to their successors. Bond in form of an indenture for payment at the monastery of Thame of 16l. yearly rent for lands in Sydenham sometime of Paulinus Peyvere; and promise that, if the same be not paid upon the coming of the messenger, it shall every time be sent to Dunstaple by their own messenger at their own cost and peril. Dated the monastery of Thame iv nonas Maii 1276.
Memorandum of acknowledgment by the now abbot and convent at Thame, 31 May this year before Richard de Norton, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the file for this year.
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 2 June this year by Richard de Grey of Codnore, Thomas Erpyngham of Norffolk, Francis del Courte and John Littelbury of Lincolnshire knights for John Cheyne knight, and of an undertaking by him under the same pain, that he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to William Fynmere of Oxfordshire.

Order upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that all aliens with the exceptions hereinafter mentioned shall under pain of forfeiture quit the realm before the quinzaine of St. John Baptist next, or else shall before that date be before the king and council at Westminster to make fine, or to shew the council their age and infirmity; as it is agreed and ordered in this parliament for the common weal, with assent of the lords spiritual and temporal upon petition of the commons, that all aliens not lieges shall avoid the realm or make fine to the king, except those who before the first day of the parliament are made denizens, are instituted and inducted in benefices, 'Duchemen' who are knights and esquires and their servants, those in the service of the king and of other lords, those previously excepted by parliament, and such as are infirm by reason of age, and that at the discretion of the council, with proviso that Bretons and others specified upon a roll for avoidance of the realm and proclaimed be not admitted to fine for abiding in England; and the king's will is that the ordinance shall take effect.

Bertrand de Lechagne citizen of Baioun, proctor or steward (yconomus), advocate, business manager and envoy of the mayor, échevins, jurats, consuls and commonalty of that city deputed to make an agreement and composition in their name with James Bodiquar otherwise Bodicar, master of a ship called a 'coque' otherwise 'cogge' which was taken by them of the city, concerning the said ship and the wares therein, as appears by letters under the seal of the commonalty and under the hand and seal of Martin de Nebona clerk of Baioun a notary public, to the said James. Recognisance for 200l. payable at London, to be levied etc. of his lands, goods and chattels, and of the lands, goods and chattels of the said mayor etc. and of the said commonalty in the city of London.

To the sheriff of Kent. Order upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that Henry de Percy late earl of Northumberland and Thomas Bardolfe late lord Bardolfe shall before the quinzaine of St. John Baptist next appear in person and render themselves to the king in person, to answer concerning certain treasons against them declared in this parliament, under pain of conviction for the same, certifying in chancery the dates and places of such proclamation; as order is made in this parliament by the lords temporal, with advice and assent of the king, that proclamation be made throughout the realm for the said Henry and Thomas, and that if they shall appear they shall be put in custody until they may come before the king and the said lords to answer as aforesaid, and in case they shall not appear they shall be deemed convicted of the said treasons.
