To the escheator in Kent. Order to give John son and heir
of John de Arundell knight the younger (iunioris) seisin of all
lands of his father, and such lands of his heritage as were held in
her demesne as of fee, in fee tail or for life by Eleanor who was
wife of John de Arundell knight the elder; as the said John,
being cousin and heir of the said Eleanor his said father's mother,
proved his age before John Boys late escheator in Buckinghamshire, and the king has taken his homage and fealty due for all

To the escheator in Yorkshire. Order to remove the king's
hand and meddle no further with the castle and manor of Wilton
with the members, namely Cotum, Lakenby, Laysyngby and
Thorpkilton, a toft and two bovates of land in Upsale by
Ormesby, a messuage and eight bovates of land in Laysyngby,
a messuage, two bovates of land and 2½ acres of meadow in
Punchunthorp, the manor of Bulmere extending over the
town of Bulmere and Welburne, ten messuages and eighteen
bovates of land in Attyngwyke in Holdernesse, the manors of
Boythorp and Thornton under Isbergh and five bovates of land
in Litelbergh and Foxholes, delivering up any issues thereof
taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by the
escheator, that Ralph Bulmere knight at his death held the same
as jointly enfeoffed with Agnes his wife, yet living, the said
castle, manor, members, toft, messuages and lands by feoffment
of Thomas de Spaunton, John Weston chaplains and William
Fulthorp of Lethom to them and the heirs of their bodies by
name of the castle, manor and lordship of Wilton and all other
the lands, rents and services in Cotum, Lakenby, Laysyngby,
Upsale by Ormesby, Punchunthorp and elsewhere in the wapentake of Langebergh which the grantors had by gift of the said
Ralph, the said manor of Bulmere, messuages and lands by
feoffment of the said Thomas Spaunton, John Wastille and
William Fulthorpe to them and the heirs of their bodies by name
of the manor of Bulmere and all lands, rents and services, commodities, profits and easements in Bulmere, Welburne and
Attyngwyke which the grantors had by gift of the said Ralph,
and the other manors and lands by name of all lands, rents,
services, commodities, profits and rights in the towns or hamlets
of Boythorp, Litelbergh, Foxholes and Thornton under Isbergh
which the said grantors had by gift of the said Ralph, and that
all are held of others than the king. |

To the escheator in Norhamptonshire. Like order, mutatis
mutandis, concerning six virgates of land in Herleston, Heyforde,
Bryngton and Colyngtrogh and the third presentation of the
advowson of Heyforde church after the turn of Robert Lumley
who made the last presentation, likewise held jointly with
remainder to George Bulmer son of the said Ralph and Agnes
and to the heirs male of his body by virtue of a feoffment made
to them for their lives by Thomas de Spaunton, John Weston
chaplains and William Fulthorp of Lethom by name of all lands
etc. in the towns and hamlets of Herleston and Heyforde, and all
other lands etc. in that county which the grantors had by gift
of the said Ralph, the same being held of others than the king. |
