Westminster.
To the escheator in Staffordshire. Order to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with a third part of the manors of Pirie, Little Barre and Hampstede, delivering to Robert Huggeforde any issues thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by the escheator, that Margaret who was wife of Thomas de Bello Campo late earl of Warrewyk at her death held that part in dower by endowment of her husband, with reversion to the said Robert for life by grant of Richard de Bello Campo now earl of Warrewyk, who after the death of the late earl his father by charter indented, dated Warrewyk castle Friday before the Annunciation in the fourth year of his reign (sic) made him a lease and grant of the said manors for life, and of all other his lands, rents, reversions and the services of all his tenants in the towns aforesaid, and that the said manors are held of the baron of Dulley.
