John Stoke and Edmund Rokesby are sent to the abbot and convent of Stanleye co. Wiltesir, to [take] such maintenance as John Asphalle now deceased had at the request of King Edward III. By p.s. [5686.]

Request and order upon his allegiance, as he loves the king and the estate of the realm and desires the honour and advantage of the church of England, to summon a convocation of the clergy of that province in the cathedral church of St. Peter York or elsewhere before the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul next, in order to treat of urgent business which concerns the king, realm and church, and other matters which shall then be clearly laid before them.

Memorandum of acknowledgment at the monastery of Wellebeke 2 April before the prior of Neustede, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.

Quitclaim with warranty of all the lands, rents and services in Stanforde Rivers co. Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 200l., made in chancery 20 May this year by John Cheverell and Thomas Cole of Dorset, to have John son and heir of John de la Lynde in chancery in the quinzaine of Trinity next.

Defeasance thereof, upon condition that Edward lord Hastynges shall appear in person before the constable and marshal of England on 26 October next, or shall on or before that day surrender to the said Oliver or to another the representative of the marshal for the time being, unless lawfully hindered, otherwise the money shall be levied to the use of Ralph de Neville earl of Westmerland and the said Oliver.
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 40l., made in chancery 17 May this year by Robert Maltby 'bladsmyth,' William Holande 'skynner,' William Pykman 'skynner' and Richard Cristiane 'cordewaner' of London for John de Levynthorp, that he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to John Salesbery of London 'salter.'

Stephen Betenham and William Bamburgh, both of Kent, to John Wakerynge clerk. Recognisance for 40l., to be levied etc. in Kent.
(Like) condition, that the said abbess shall abide the archbishop's award etc.
