Writ of supersedeas, by mainprise of Robert Skootte, John More, John Baldocke of Cambridgeshire and William Doudale of Sussex, in favour of John Grene the younger, John Grene the elder, Thomas Grene, Robert Roper, Walter Reyngelage, John Germaker 'baker' and John Germaker (Gertmaker, Bermaker) 'heyward,' by what names soever, and order to set them free, if taken at suit of the king for an assault upon Richard Smyth his serjeant at Fordham.

John Crosse and Hildebrand van Meye, proctors and attorneys of James Bodiquar otherwise Bodekar sometime master of a ship called a 'coque' otherwise 'cogg' by them (fn. 1) taken from the city of Bayoun with the wares therein, to John de Langar master of a ship called 'la Katerine' of Bayoun, and William Arnald Darrepe attorney of William de Bernatet prévôt of Bayoun and John de Momane. Receipt and acquittance for 50 marks of English money to the use of the said James by reason of the capture and detention of the said ship and wares, in part payment of 80l. to him due on the feast of Allhallows last and payable in the city of London, according to a judicial acknowledgment made in the king's court by Bernard de Lachagne citizen of Bayonne proctor or steward and envoy of the mayor, échevins, jurats, consuls and commonalty of the said city. Ralph de Hemenhale of Suffolk esquire, cousin and heir of Robert de Hemenhale knight, to John Oldecastelle knight lord Cobham and Joan his wife, their heirs and assigns. Grant of the manor of Brunham co. Norffolk, whereof Reynold de Eccles and John Muriell late parson of Wortham made a feoffment to the said Robert and Joan then his wife and to the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of the said Robert, and the said John Oldecastelle and Joan are now in possession in her right, the said Robert being dead without issue by her, and other lands, rents and services of the said Robert there whereof they are in possession with reversion to the grantor, confirmation of their estate therein, and quitclaim with warranty of the same.
