Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 20l., made in chancery 11 March this year by John Hemmyng of London 'pulter,' Robert Cut of St. Giles town, Nicholas Barbour of the parish of St. Andrew London and Robert Pyke of Holborn for Adam Palmere, that he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to William Westy.
Memorandum that on 10 March this year at Grenewyche, in presence of Thomas bishop of Durham, Thomas Beaufort knight, John Typtoft the treasurer, John de Stanley knight steward of the household, John Wakeryng clerk keeper of the chancery rolls and others, the king received the great seal in a leathern bag from Thomas archbishop of Canterbury the chancellor, and in the archbishop's absence caused certain letters patent to be therewith sealed, whereby of his particular knowledge and mere motion he granted to the archbishop for life the castle and lordship of Quenesburgh with the profits etc. whatsoever, rendering nought to the king or his heirs, and straightway delivered the seal again to the archbishop sealed up in the bag with the king's own seal.
