Footnotes

1 On the back of the volume is the usual red label, with ‘Nicol. V. de Curia. Lib. xxi. To. xxxxii.’ Inside is the front half of the original sheepskin binding, with the year ‘mccccliii,’ ‘xxii’ (apparently corrected to ’xxi’), ‘Inceptus de mense Junii,’ and other more or less contemporary notes. On the flyleaf is, in the hand of Bissaiga, ‘Nicolai V. de Curia. Lib. xxi. Tom. xxxxii.’ The rubricelle follow, headed ‘Incipiunt Rubricelle vicesimi primi libri de Curia sanctissimi in Christo patris et domini nostri domini Nicolai divina providentia pape quinti incepte de mense Junii mccccliii,' after which comes the text, ff. 1-288.
