PRAYERS.
Books seized, &c.
WHEREAS the Interest claimed by particular
Persons to divers Books, seized, by Order of this
House, from the Register of the High Commission, into
the Hands of the Clerk of this House, was referred to
the Consideration of the Committee for the Lord of
Canterbury;
It is Ordered, That the Business concerning the Books
shall be respited, till the next Meeting of the House after
the Recess; and that there shall be no Proceedings,
upon any Petitions that concern that Business, till that
Time: And That Committee shall sit, to prepare a Bill
concerning the Licensing of Printing of Books; and present it to the House: And are to meet To-morrow at
Two post Meridiem, in the Treasury-chamber.
Charges against the Judges.
Ordered, That the Report of the Charges against the
Judges shall be made To-morrow post Meridiem at Two
of Clock.
Rod's, &c. Estate.
2da vice lecta est Billa, An Act for settling of * *
in the County of Devon upon Richard Rod and Richard
Escourt, until the Sum of Six hundred Pounds, with Damages, shall be paid unto them, in Right of their Wives;
and, upon Question, committed unto Mr. Tomkins, Mr.
Reignolds, Mr. Rowse, Sir Nevill Poole, Mr. Upton, *
Chadwell, Mr. Morley, * Pate, * Holland, Mr. Glyn,
Mr. Rigby, Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Perd, Mr. Grimston,
Mr. Pury, * Pleydale, Mr. Bagshawe, Mr. Moore, Mr.
Kirton, Sir Richard Buller, the Knights and Burgesses
of Devon, Cornwall, and Somersetshire: And are to meet
on this Day Month, in the Exchequer-chamber: And the
Parties concerned are to have Notice: And they have
Power to send for Witnesses, Papers, and Records, &c.
Protections.
Mr. Reignolds reports the Bill concerning Protections,
from the Committee, after a Commitment and Recommitment, with the Amendments and Additions: Which
Amendments and Additions were twice read; and, upon
the Question, recommitted to the same Committee: And
are to meet this Afternoon, at Two post meridiem, in the
Court of Wards: And the Lawyers of the Committee
are enjoined to attend.
Poll Tax.
Ordered, That the Committee for drawing the Bill for
Assessing of Sums of Money upon particular Persons,
do meet this Afternoon, at Three of Clock, in the Starchamber: And it is referred to the Consideration of the
Committee, to present such further Heads and Propositions in the Bill, as they shall think necessary for the
Service.
