To Simon (fn. 2) bishop of Mayo (Magionen.). Dispensation to him, who is bishop of Mayo in partibus infidelium, (fn. 3) and who, as he alleges, receives nothing from its fruits etc., is a suffragan of Reynhardus bishop of Worms in the exercise of pontifical offices in the city and diocese of Worms, and has made his profession of the order of Augustinian friars, to receive and hold in commendam for life together with the said church of Mayo any mutually compatible benefices with or without cure, of any number and kind, secular or regular of any orders, even if one of them be a priorship, provostship, deanery or a dignity etc., or a parish church or its perpetual vicarage, and be of the patronage of laymen, and be elective and have cure, provided that it be not a major or a principal dignity, nor a conventual priorship etc., and that the value of such benefices do not exceed 200 gold florins of the Camera, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. To Robert Hamilton, rector of Montabrok (recte Moniabrok) in the diocese of Glasgow, bachelor in decrees. Dispensation to him (who is a priest and by both parents of noble race, even of a race of barons, and holds the said church, value not exceeding 15l. sterling, and receives a pension, lately assigned to him by papal authority, of 4l. sterling on the fruits etc. of the episcopal mensa of Dunkeld) to receive together with the said church any one other benefice, or without that church any two other benefices, with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if dignities etc. or two parish churches or their perpetual vicarages, or such mixed, and to retain them for ten years if parish churches or perpetual vicarages, or for life if other incompatible benefices, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Within the said ten years he is to exchange whichever he prefers of such parish churches or vicarages for a non-similar benefice; if not, he is to resign that of such parish churches or perpetual vicarages which he obtains first.
