To the abbots of Mothel (de Mothalia) and Molana (de Insula sancti Molanfyd) and the prior of Cahyr, in the diocese of Lismore. Mandate (the pope having learned that the chancellorship of Lismore has been so long void that there is no certain knowledge of the last mode of voidance, and that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Philip Occarrygyn, priest, of the diocese of Lismore, has for about eight years or more but less than ten years unduly detained possession under pretext of a collation made to him by authority of the ordinary after the said lapse, without a tittle of canonical right, and still detains it) to summon Philip and others concerned, and collate and assign the chancellorship, a nonmajor non-elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 15 marks sterling, whether void by the resignation of the late Paul Kertyng (recte Keatyng), or void in any other way, to John Wihite, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Clo[n]mell in the said diocese, removing Philip and any other unlawful detainer; notwithstanding that John holds the said vicarage of Clo[n]mell, with cure and value likewise not exceeding 15 marks sterling. He is hereby dispensed to receive the chancellorship, and retain it for life together with the said vicarage, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases, provided that he do not hold two major or principal dignities or two parish churches or their perpetual vicarages, or such mixed.
