To William Cameron, canon of St. Andrews, O.S.A., licentiate in canon law. Motu proprio reservation to the pope, for collation to the said William, of a benefice with or without cure, wont to be governed by canons of St. Andrews or Holyrood de Edinburg, O.S.A., even if a priory etc., but not a claustral priory etc., value not exceeding 18 marks sterling in the parts where the old taxation of the tenth is reduced to half, or 25 in other parts, in the common or several gift of the bishop and the prior and chapter etc. of St. Andrews and the abbot and convent of the said monastery. Religionis zelus, litterarum sciencia, vite etc.

  • 1. On the back of the volume is the usual modern description in Italian:Paolo II. 1465. Anno 1. Lib. 1, and on the inside of the front bindingboard is Mgr. Wenzel's ‘An. 2. to. 10.’ There is no contemporary end-paper with the contemporary description of the volume, but there is the usual contemporary description, barely legible, on the bottom edge of the volume, viz. Primus de regularibus, prebendis et provisionibus anno primo domini nostri domini Pauli pape ii., which is confirmed by the headings: ‘de Regularibus anno primo’ at the top of f. [i], ‘Sequitur de prebendis vacantibus [anno] primo’ at the top of f. 242, and ‘Sequitur de provisionibus prelatorum anno primo’ at the top of f. 315. There are ff. i.—cccxxvi. of text, + cccxxvii. blank, and other blank unnumbered leaves.
