(f. 146.)		 To the abbots of Bective (de Benedictione dei) and Kilbeggan (de Flumine dei), and the prior of Dermach in the diocese of Meath (Minden., recte Miden.). Mandate to collate and assign to Donald Okyngha, clerk, of the diocese of Meath (Minden.), who was lately dispensed by authority of the ordinary on account of illegitimacy, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to minor orders and hold a benefice without cure, the rectory of the parish church of Cloinfadafuarayn in the said diocese, with cure and value not exceeding 8 marks sterling, void because Dermit Maceagayn has held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation; removing the said Dermit and any other unlawful detainer. (f. 152.)		 To the archdeacon of Achonry (Akaden.), and Bernard Ocoymiean and William Oclunan, canons of the same. Mandate, as below. The pope has been informed by Cornelius Ogara, clerk, of the diocese of Achonry, that Maurice Ocoymiean, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Cloynnahacglasse in the said diocese, is an open fornicator, has committed simony, and has alienated or dilapidated the immoveable goods of the said vicarage. The pope therefore hereby orders the above three, if the said Cornelius (who was lately dispensed by authority of the ordinary on account of illegitimacy, as the son of unmarried parents related in the fourth degree of kindred and the third degree of affinity, to be made a clerk, and who in virtue thereof has had himself made a clerk) will accuse the said Maurice before them, to summon Maurice and others concerned, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive Maurice, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, with cure and value not exceeding 3 marks sterling, to Cornelius, removing [the said Maurice and] any other unlawful detainer. Cornelius is hereby specially dispensed to be promoted to all, even holy orders and receive and retain the said vicarage, and to resign it, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Mandate to collate and assign to Rory Ocomayn, priest, of the diocese of Lismore, the united perpetual vicarages of the parish churches of Kylmidayn and Lysnykelli, in the diocese of Waterford, value not exceeding 7 and 5 marks sterling respectively, so long void by the death of John Ycormichain, that by the Lateran Statutes their collation has lapsed to the apostolic see; whether the said vicarages (which, as Rory alleges, are so near to one another that they can be conveniently served by one man, and the fruits of which are too slight for the maintenance of separate vicars) be void as stated, or be still void by the death of Richard Matsitroge, or be void in any other way. Wenzel's ‘An. 6. to. xi,’ the following in contemporary hands: (i) the description: Primus de Benefitiis vacantibus et Thabellionatus [officio] anno vio domini nostri domini Pauli pape ii; (ii) the order ‘R(ecipe) Pau., P.’; (iii) the corresponding ‘Rubricatus per me Paulum de Raynoldis clericum Mediolanensem’; and (iv) the usual ‘Quesit(um) pro Philippo.'
