Prisoners from Northampton.

ORDERED, That it be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of the Lord Keeper's Letter, to take into Consideration the Examination concerning the Prisoners sent hither out of Northamptonshire; and which of them are fit to be released, and which not; and to consider what Prisons it will be fit to keep them in.

Warrant to Bishop of Raphoe.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do sign his Warrant for the Bishop of Raphoe to go to his Majesty.

Hanham's Loan.

Mr. Serjeant Wilde informs the House, by the Direction of Mr. Hanham, a Member of this House, That the said Mr. Hanham will bring in Fifty Pounds into the Chamber of London, for the Service of the King and Parliament.

Member disabled to sit.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Mr. Rich. Rogers shall be forthwith disabled to sit any longer a Member of this House, during this Parliament, for raising and sending Forces into Sherborne Castle, against the Parliament.

Ditto.

Resolved, upon * *, That Mr. Rich. Herbert shall be forthwith disabled to sit any longer a Member of this House, during this Parliament, for being active, and for putting the Commission of Array in Execution in the County of Salop.

Irish Affairs.

Ordered, That the Examinations taken at Milford, concerning the Affairs of Ireland, be referred to the Committee for Adventurers for Ireland.

Affairs in Shropshire, &c.

A Letter from Mr. Rich More, of the Tenth of September, concerning the Estate of Affairs in Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Mountgommeryshire, and of very good Services done in Montgommeryshire by Sir Jo. Price, in preserving the Magazine at Newtown, and opposing the Commission of Array; and of very ill Services done by Mr. Rich. Herbert, in endeavouring to seize the Magazine at Sir Piercy Herbert's Castle.

Price thanked.

Ordered, That Mr. Glyn, and Mr. Spurstoe do write a Letter to Sir Jo. Price; and return him Thanks; and encourage him in the good Services he does for the Commonwealth.

Person committed.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Mr. Roe be forthwith committed a Prisoner to the Gatehouse; there to remain during the Pleasure of the House: And that the Examination of him be referred to the Committee for Informations: And * * * *.

Capt. Legg, &c.

Ordered, That Sir Christ. Yelverton do move the Lords, That Captain Legg be committed a close Prisoner; and to desire, that the Prisoners in the Tower may be committed to a stricter Imprisonment.

Letters from Bishop of Bangor, &c.

Ordered, That the Letter from the Bishop of Bangor to the Clergy of his Diocese; and the Letter from the Bishop of Yorke to another Bishop; now in Sir Gilbert Gerard's Custody; be forthwith printed.

Legg's Impeachment.

Ordered, That Mr. Serjeant Wilde and Mr. Glyn do prepare an Impeachment against Captain Legg.

Arms, &c. in Westminster.

Ordered, That the City of Westminster shall have Liberty to provide Forty Musquets, * Four Barrels of Powder.

Bishop of Bangor sent for.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Bishop of Bangor shall be forthwith sent for, as a Delinquent, by the Serjeant at Arms, attending on this House.

Regulating the Navy.

A Commission concerning regulating the Affairs of the Navy, was read; and assented unto; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords, for their Concurrence and Assent hereunto.

Oxen seized, &c.

Ordered, That the Hundred Two Pounds and Ten Shillings, paid for Ten Oxen of Mr Smyth's, of Christen Temple, and bought by Robert Hunt of White Chappel, Butcher, shall be paid unto the Receivers for the Monies that come upon the Propositions: And that the said Hunt shall be discharged of the said Sum, and saved harmless therefore: And that the Ten Oxen, stayed by one Wright, shall be employed for the Service of the Navy: And that Wright, who seized them, shall be saved harmless: And that the said Oxen shall be delivered to the Victualler of the Navy, upon Account: And that some of the Committee for the Navy shall view and value these Oxen.

Queen of Bohemia.

The humble remonstrance of Sir Abraham Williams Knight, Agent for the Queen of Bohemia, &c. shewing, That this Queen, a Daughter of the Crown of England, hath no other Means to subsist, then the Pension allowed and settled upon her, by King James and King Charles, and assigned upon the Customs, amounting in all to the Sum of Twenty-one thousand One hundred and Fifty Pounds a Year; the Payments whereof now stand at a Stop, because the Bill for Tonage and Poundage is not yet passed; was this Day read.

It is Ordered, That Mr. Glyn shall prepare a Declaration, of the Sense the House holds of her Majesty's Wants; and that the House will take a Course to supply the same, as soon as the Troubles and Distractions of this Kingdom, which disables them for the present, be removed.

King's Revenue, &c.

This Committee is to consider of the King's Revenue; and all the Pensions that are issuable out of it; and to whom they are payable: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, &c. : And are to meet To-morrow, at Eight of Clock, in the Exchequer Court; and so de die in diem, as the Committee shall think fit.

Obnoxious Publication.

Ordered, That the Pamphlet intituled "King James his Judgment of a King, and of a Tyrant," be referred to the Committee for Printing; to inquire out the Author, and the Printer and Publisher; and likewise to take Order that it be burnt.

E. of Antrim.

The Copy of a Letter sent from the Lords Justices in Ireland to Serjeant Major General Montroe, concerning the Sending of the Body of the Earl of Antrim, was read; and delivered to Sir Wm. Armyn, that brought it in.

Ordered, That not withstanding the former Order, of the 19th of July, from the Commissioners for the Affairs of Ireland, concerning the Sending the Body of the Earl of Antrim unto the Parliament, That the Commissioners of this Kingdom, appointed to treat with the Commissioners of Scotland, be desired to move those Commissioners, that Order may be given to those that command in chief the Scottish Army in Ulster, to keep there in safe Custody the Person of the said Earl of Antrim, until this Parliament shall take further Order concerning him.

Seaton, Colonel Browne, presented to this House, for settling and preserving the Peace in the University and City of Oxon, and in County of Oxon, and other adjoining Parts, were this Day read; and, by Vote upon the Question, *.

Lord Say and Seale, Oliver Lord St. John, &c. agreed by the Lords and Commons, in Parliament assembled, for preserving the Peace of the University and City of Oxforde, and of the County of Oxforde, and other adjoining Parts, was read; and upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to be sent up to the Lords for their Concurrence therein.

Raising Horse, &c.

Mr. Corbett, Mr. Holland, Mr. Hanham, Sir Hen. Mildmy, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Vassell, Captain Venn, Sir Ed. Hales, Sir Rob. Harley;

This Committee, or any Four of them, are to take Care, that the Propositions for the Raising of Horse, Money, or Plate, shall be sent into all Counties and Corporations of the Kingdom; and that the Monies brought in thereupon be sent up to London: And further to consider, what Members of this House, that have subscribed for Horse, Money, or Plate, and have not yet brought in the same; and to report their Names to the House: And further to consider, what Members of this House, that have declared themselves to assist the Earl of Essex, and have not yet declared what Horse, Monies or Plate, they will bring, in pursuance of such Declaration.

Defence of the Kingdom.

Ordered, That Mr. Vassall shall be added to the Committee for the Defence of the Kingdom.

Ordered, That Sir Charles Le Grosse and Mr. Catlyn, shall be forthwith summoned to attend this House.

Navy Secretary.

The Commission to constitute Tho. Smyth, Esquire, to be Secretary to the Commission of the Navy, was this Day read; and, by Vote upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to he sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Letter Office.

Mr. Ellis reports, That the Lords do agree to the Votes concerning the Letter Office.

Plate seized.

Ordered, That the several Parcels of Plate belonging to the Lord Dunsmoe, seized the 4th of this instant September, at Mr. Jo. Osborne's in Molsey, and now remaining in the Hands of Mr. Ven, be by him sent into Guildhall, to the Receivers appointed to receive the Money and Plate brought in upon the Propositions.
