1475. 5 Id. Nov. (9 Nov.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 37v.)	To the archdeacon of Huete in the church of Cuenca (Conchen.), and Dermit Oscara and John Orkemmin, canons of Tuam. Mandate, as below. The recent petition of Edmund de Stantona, clerk, of the diocese of Tuam, contained that on the voidance, by the death of Richard de S[t]antona extra R. c., of the rectory, called the rectory of Maynnulu, of the parish church of Balla in the said diocese, Thomas de Stanton, the lay patron, presented the said Edmund to Donatus, archbishop of Tuam, who instituted him, in virtue of which presentation and institution he obtained possession. At the said petition, which added that the doubts whether the said presentation and institution hold good, the pope hereby orders the above three to collate and assign to him the said rectory, with cure and value 8 marks sterling. 1475. Prid. Non. Sept. (4 Sept.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 57r.)	To John Gardyn, archdeacon of Moray, M.A. Collation and provision to him (who is a priest, and is by both parents of noble birth, and who holds the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Kyrimur in the diocese of St. Andrews, value 24l. sterling), of the archdeaconry of Moray, a non-major dignity, value 30l. sterling, void at the apostolic see, and therefore reserved, by the death there of Archibald Konollis. The pope hereby dispenses him to retain therewith for life the said vicarage, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Nobilitas generis, litterarum scientia, vite etc.

7 Kal. Dec. (25 Nov.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 146r.)	To William Oliphant, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Bachlcat (recte Bathkat) in the diocese of St. Andrews, M.A. Collation etc., as below. On the voidance of the said vicarage (fn. 1) at the apostolic see by the death there of James Ingliis, clerk, of the diocese of St. Andrews (after winning in first instance a definitive sentence before a certain papal auditor, which became a res judicata, against John Petieru (recte Peticru) and other adversaries, with letters executorial, which were not executed), the pope granted provision of it to the late John Bayn, clerk, of the said diocese [above p. 353], and, after his death extra R.c., to William Marschal, (fn. 2) clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, viz. under date Prid. Kal. Oct. anno 5 [30 Sept., 1475]. The said William having this day ceded his grant to the pope, before the papal letters were drawn up, and the said vicarage being still void as above, and still reserved, the pope hereby makes collation and provision of it, value 9l. sterling to the said William Oliphant; whether it be void as above, or by the free resignation of the said John Potegru (recte Petegru), or by the cession of William Marschat [sic], or in any other way, and whether reserved because the said William [Marschal] is a continual commensal member of the household of Julian, cardinal priest of St. Peter's, ad Vincula, etc. Litterarum scientia, vite etc.

10 Kal. Dec. (22 Nov.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 151r.)	To the abbot of Ballintober (Sancti Patricii Villefontis), in the diocese of Tuam, and Dermit Ossgara and Wa[l]ter Cusin, canons of Tuam. Mandate, as below. The recent petition of Thomas Ohubayn, priest, of the diocese of Tuam, contained that on the voidance of the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Burgeskerra in the said diocese by the death of Malachy Ycernayd extra R.c., Wa[l]ter, then abbot of Cong (de Cunga), O.S.A., in the said diocese, and Thomas Joge [sic], archdeacon of Tuam, under commission from Donatus, archbishop of Tuam, made collation and provision of the said vicarage to the said Thomas, who in virtue thereof obtained possession. At the said petition, containing that he doubts whether the said collation and provision hold good, the pope hereby orders the above three to collate and assign to him the said vicarage, value 2 marks sterling; whether it be void as above, or by the resignation of Richard de Stantona, or be void in any other way. Non. Dec. (5 Dec.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 154v.)	To the abbot of St. Mary's, O'Dorney (de Kyryeleyson), and the priors of St. Mary's, Killagh (de Belloloco), and Ballinskelligs (Sancti Michaelis de Ruppe), in the diocese of Ardfert. Mandate to collate and assign to John Husseye, clerk, of the diocese of Ardfert, who is by both parents of noble birth, the chancellorship of Ardfert, a non-major dignity, and the perpetual vicarages of the parish churches of Kyllmellkedeyr [and Kyllayne], in the said diocese, value 7, 7, and 10 marks sterling, respectively, so long void that their collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although John Fizmoris, John Ochunnchyr alias Osanrygan and Thomas Offin, priests, who are to be summoned and removed, have detained possession of the said chancellorship and vicarages of Kyllmellkedeyr and Kyllayne for five years, about four years, and between two and three years, respectively, without any title. The pope hereby dispenses him to receive and retain them for life, or without them any three other benefices with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if they be dignities etc., or two of them be parish churches etc., and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Ibid. (f. 198r.)	To the bishop and the dean of Killaloe (Laonien.), and Donatus Ogrady, a canon of the same. Mandate, as below. The pope has learned that the rectories of the parish churches of Aulackay and Druminn, in the diocese of Limerick, of lay patronage, have been void so long that their collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Thomas Omergyn, clerk, and Thomas Ogallycon, priest, [both] of the said diocese, have detained possession of the said rectory of Anlackay and that of Drumun [sic] for about seven years and between eight and nine years, respectively, without any title. The pope, therefore, at the recent petition of Philip Yronayn, a canon of Limerick, bachelor of decrees, (who has been created a canon by Thomas, bishop of Limerick, by his ordinary authority, and admitted by the chapter), hereby orders the above three to erect the said rectories, which are not more than two miles apart, and the cure of which has been wont to be exercised by perpetual vicars, and the value of which does not exceed 32 marks sterling, into a prebend of Limerick for the lifetime of the said Philip, and to collate and assign it to him, summoning and removing the said two detainers. 1475. 9 Kal. Nov. (24 Oct.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 235r.)	To the archbishop of Nicosia (Nicosien.), the bishop of Glasgow, and the dean of St. Baya the Virgin, Dunbar, in the diocese of St. Andrews. Mandate to collate and assign to Henry Barry, priest, of the diocese of St. Andrews, bachelor of decrees, the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Bolton in the said diocese, with cure and value not exceeding 8l. sterling, void by the death of Robert Muschet extra R.c. 8 Id. Dec. (6 Dec.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 239r.)	To the abbot of St. Mary's, Knockmoy (Collis victorie), in the diocese of Tuam, and David Walsh (Valenci) and William Olachacnayn, canons of Tuam. Mandate, as below. The pope has been informed by Donald Okellyd, (fn. 2) a canon of the monastery of St. Mary, Clontuosgerromane (recte Clontuosgertomane), O.S.A., in the diocese of Clonfert, that Donatus Okellyd, prior of the said monastery of St. Mary, Clontuosgerromane [sic], O.S.A., in the diocese of Clonfert, is so much wanting in regular care and diligence, and so much unmindful of his profession and honour, that [he allows] the canons to live separately and have their own property, and, having been suspended and denounced as such, has celebrated massess and other divine offices, wittingly and in contempt of the Keys. (fn. 3) The pope therefore orders the above three, if Donald (who has made his profession of the said order, and is illegitimate, being the son of a canon professed of the said monastery and in deacon's orders and an unmarried woman, and who from fear of Donatus's power has no hope of obtaining justice in the city or diocese of Clonfert), (fn. 4) will accuse Donatus before them, to summon the latter, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said monastery, which is conventual, non-elective, dependent on no other monastery or regular place, is with cure, and whose value does not exceed 50 marks sterling, to Donald.
