That we having Assurance of the Conjunction of their Lordships united Affections with us, in all Matters that may concern the Dignity of the Parliament (wherein the Speech of that honourable Person, at our first Meeting, hath settled us) and having of late taken Understanding of some scandalous Matter, touching the Body of the Parliament, and of other dangerous Nature, published in a Book, by one D. Cowell, called, The Interpreter; that their Lordships will be pleased to join with us in Examination of the Matter, and in Censure and Punishment of the Party, as the Cause shall deserve; and, to that End, your Lordships would be pleased to afford us Conference, at such Time and Place, and with such Number, as your Lordships shall think meet.

This is a Sub-committee, named by the Grand Committee for Grievances, for advising and considering upon the Heads of Mr. D. Cowell's Opinions, delivered in a Book, called, The Interpreter; and, upon Report of their Proceeding, and Motion of a Message, to be sent

to the Lords in that Point, are now to meet in the Committee Chamber, and to prepare the Tenor of the Message, and make Report of their Opinions to the House.
