Westminster.
To the sheriff of Oxford and Berkes for the time being. Order of the issues of his bailiwick to pay to Roger Cheyne the arrears since 11 January in the 38th year of the reign of 10l. a year, and henceforward to pay him that sum every year for life, taking his acquittance for every payment; as on the date mentioned the king by letters patent granted to the said Roger 10l. a year to be taken at Easter and Michaelmas by even portions by the hands of the sheriff during his life or until other order should be taken for his estate, also one gown a year of the suit of the esquires of the king's household in like manner as they should take their gowns of the king.
