Dec. 12.
Westminster.
To the constable of Dovorre castle for the time being. Order to pay 10l. a year to Robert Tidecombe, now parson of the parish church within the castle having the cure of souls of the king's ministers there and of others dwelling therein and charged with administration of the sacraments etc. to them; as Richard Benet late parson of the same took nought of the late king or others but 6 marks a year by the hands of the constable, and the oblations and other obventions of the parishioners are of small value, and in consideration that without other aid the said Richard might not maintain an honourable estate, the late king granted to him and his successors 9 marks a year in addition by the hands of the constable; and on 6 March last the king confirmed that grant.
