Westminster.
To Nicholas de Aston escheator in Oxfordshire. Order to assign and deliver to Isabel who was wife of John Dodyngsels knight dower of her husband's lands, delivering to her the issues thereof taken since 5 October last, on which date the king ordered John Salvayn then escheator to assign her dower, having commanded Thomas Hore late escheator in Warwickshire to take of her an oath that she should not marry without the king's licence; as John Salvayn was removed from office before he had so done.

Westminster.
To the sheriff of Notyngham. Order of the issues of the county to pay to Richard de Lancastre 3d. a day and the arrears since 6 May 1 Richard II, on which date the king confirmed letters patent of the late king granting him by the hands of the sheriff 3d. a day for life or until the king should take other order for his estate.

To John de Shardelowe knight, lately appointed with other lieges in Suffolk surveyor and controller of the assessors and collectors of the subsidy of three groats upon every lay person. Order not to meddle therein; as previously the king granted him for life liberty not to be mayor, sheriff, collector etc. against his will, wherefore the king has discharged him.

To Thomas Morewelle knight, lately appointed with others in Hertfordshire surveyor etc. (as above). Like order; as he is abiding continually in the house of the king's sister the duchess of Brittany as one of her household.
Feb. 3.
Westminster.
To Ellis Reyner escheator in Kent. Order to give John son of Roger Digge, being cousin and heir of John Digge clerk brother of the said Roger and tenant by knight service of the heir of the lord of Say a tenant in chief of the late king, seisin of his said uncle's lands; as he proved his age before John Brode of Smethe late escheator, and the king has taken his fealty.

Westminster.
To Ellis Reyner escheator in Kent. Order to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with 6 acres of land and a marsh in Gillyngham, delivering to John son of Roger Digge and of Albina his wife any issues thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by John Brode of Smethe late escheator, that Roger Digge at his death held no lands in Kent in demesne or in service, but held the premises by the courtesy of England with reversion to the said John, and that the same are held of others than the king.
Jan. 21.
Westminster.
To the mayor and bailiffs of Sandewich. Order, notwithstanding their arrest in that port by John Morwelle serjeant at arms for the king's service, to suffer Arnald Migroun master of a ship called 'le Seinte Marie' of Bayoun and John de Legar master of 'la Seint Katerine' of Baioun to pass to their own parts; as they have found security before the said serjeant to bring their ships again before the middle of March to that port or elsewhere as they shall be directed.
