To the sheriffs of London. Writ of supersedeas omnino, and order by mainprise of John Pyryman, Thomas Fysshelake, Gregory Burnham and John Trentemars of London to set free Mary Frowe, if taken at suit of Juliana Kerver averring threats.
Thomas Erpingham knight to Miles Stapylton, Simon Felbrigge, William Clopton, Walter Clopton, Robert Berney, John Strange knights, John Gurnay, John Wynter, John Yelverton, John Thorp parson of Erpingham, John parson of Salle and John Poyte parson of Estharlynge, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of the manors of Erpingham and Wykemere, and of all lands, rents, services, villeins with their villenages etc. there and in all other towns in Norffolk sometime of Robert Erpingham knight. To the sheriff of Oxford. Order to give notice to Roger archbishop of Canterbury to be in chancery in the octaves of Michaelmas next in order to shew cause wherefore there ought not to be a stay pending the appeal of Geoffrey Lodelowe, vicar of Burforde of the diocese of Lincoln and province of Canterbury, writ of supersedeas and order by mainprise of Richard Felde, Richard Kyngeston, William Melton clerks and William Yoksale to set the appellant free, if taken; as at the request of the archbishop, signifying that by his authority as ordinary the said vicar was excommunicated for contumacy, not willing to be justified by censure of the church, the king ordered the sheriff to justify him by his body until he should content holy church for his contempt and wrongdoing; but he has appealed to the papal see, and is effectually prosecuting his appeal; and Richard Felde and the others have mainperned in chancery that he shall prosecute the same, and shall be in chancery at the aforesaid day.
Roger de Burle, cousin and heir of Simon de Burley knight (militis), to Thomas de Aston knight, Elizabeth his wife and their heirs. Quitclaim of the manor of Castelfrome co. Hereforde whereof the said Thomas and Elizabeth are now in possession. Dated 19 October 22 Richard II.
