of the king's writ ordering them to proceed in an assize of fresh force
concerning a messuage and six shops in the parish of St. Margaret
Moises in 'Fraydaystrete' London, arraigned by William Cressouer
of Iklyngham against Robert Ramesey and Robert de Yorke, the
allegation of Robert Ramesey notwithstanding, so that they should not
proceed to rendering of judgment without advising the king; as the
said Robert appeared in person, and alleged that by letters patent
the king granted the premises to him for life, craving aid of the king. |

appointed with others a justice of the peace and of oyer and terminer
in Wiltesir, or against his heirs or the tenants of his lands, but order
to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as John Pokyswell,
being tenant of lands of his, has made oath in chancery that that
commission was not delivered to the deceased. |

park and lodge of Worldeham since the king's coronation, by whom
and how, and order to release any distress upon them made; as that
commission was not delivered to them, as John Ramesey has made
oath in chancery. |

house John Elys the king's serjeant, keeper of the queen's robes, and
Thomas his brother, whom the king has sent to them, and to minister
to them two maintenances for their lives and the life of the longest
liver, making them letters patent under the common seal of the house
with mention of what they shall take, and writing again by the bearer
what they will do; as the said John, who at command of the king
possesses two maintenances for life in that house, is minded to demise
his estate therein to the end that he and his brother may together

prior of Christ Church Canterbury and Guy Mone, executors of William
late archbishop of Canterbury appointed with Thomas bishop of
Rochester and others a justice of the peace and of oyer and terminer
in Kent, for delivery of estreats of sessions of those justices, that
execution might speedily be made for levying fines, issues, amercements and chattels forfeited to the king adjudged in such sessions,
and order to discharge them; as that commission came not to the
archbishop's hands, as the said John has made oath in chancery. |
