Westminster.
To the escheator in the county of Suthampton. Order to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with the manor of Nyton in the Isle of Wight, delivering to John Keynes the son any issues thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by the escheator, that John Keynes the elder gave that manor to the said John his son and Margery his wife, now deceased, and to the heirs of their bodies, that they were thereof seised, and John the son is yet seised, and that the manor is not held of the king. (fn. 1)
To the escheator in Devon. Like order, mutatis mutandis, concerning a messuage and one carucate of land in Thorry in the hundred of Hertylonde, which John Keynes the elder gave likewise to the said John and Margery by name of all his lands at Thorry in Hertelonde. (fn. 1)
