Westminster.
To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Order to allow Henry Kays the king's clerk, keeper of the hanaper of chancery, in his account 42l. 3s. by him paid to Henry bishop of Winchester the chancellor for the summer and winter livery of the chancellor and the clerks of chancery against Whitsuntide and Christmas 1 Henry V, and their summer livery against Whitsuntide last, over and above the usual sum because of the dearness of cloth, furring and lining, and 6l. paid to Robert Ragenhille clerk, keeper of one part of the seal of the Common Bench, due from 20 March 1 Henry V to 21 March following and from 21 March last to Michaelmas following, one whole year and a half, any command of the king to the contrary notwithstanding, and notwithstanding the preference of 10,000 marks given to the king in the parliament last holden at Westminster, taking of the keeper letters of acquittance of the said Robert which he has.
