Westminster.
To Edmund Arnold water bailiff of Dertemuth. Order to dearrest all ships, barges and crayers laded with goods and merchandise of certain lieges and friends of the king, by him lately arrested in that port at command of the king for his service in the expedition shortly to be made, and yet under arrest it is said, and to suffer the masters, seamen and merchants thereof with their ships etc. and the goods therein to pass to London, Sandewich or Suthampton that arrest notwithstanding, first taking of them security, for which he will answer, that the same shall not depart to any other port, and shall be in the port of Suthampton on 18 March next, ready to serve as aforesaid, and sending into chancery under his seal the security so taken, and this writ.
