Quitclaim with warranty of all the lands, rents, reversions and services in the towns and hamlets of Milton, Midelton, Gore, Avene, Rippele, Soppele, Murdynge and Shirle or elsewhere within the hundreds of Ryngwode and Cristchurche Twynham co. To the sheriff of Suthampton. Order to cause proclamation to be made in singular the places within his bailiwick where the king has commanded proclamation of musters to be made, that no man of whatsoever estate, degree or condition shall assume arms or coats (tunicas) of arms called 'cotearmures' unless he possess or ought to possess the same in right of an ancestor or by gift of one having sufficient power, and that on the day of his muster he shall shew clearly to persons now or hereafter appointed by the king by whose gift he has the same under pain of not being admitted to sail upon the present expedition under the number of him with whom he is retained, of losing his wages, and of the defacing and breaking of such arms and 'cotearmures' at the time of the muster if displayed or found upon him, except the men who with the king bore arms at the battle of Agencourt; as the king has information that divers men who heretofore in his expeditions have assumed arms and 'cotearmures,' when neither they nor their ancestors used them in times past, and are purposing to wear the same upon this expedition; and although the Almighty dispenses his grace as he will upon rich and poor, nevertheless the king's will is that of his lieges every man shall be entreated as his estate demands. To the sheriff of Suthampton. Order to cause proclamation to be made in places where proclamation of musters was made, or ought to have been made; that lords, knights, men at arms, armed men and others who are to sail with the king upon the present expedition shall be there ready on Friday next at their muster with their retinue, that the same be not delayed in default of them, and further that all who were appointed to take the muster on Friday last shall take and oversee the same on Friday next, and that under pain of all for which they may answer to the king; as although the king appointed their muster and the muster of their retinue to be made on Friday last in particular places by the writs of proclamation limited, the said lords etc. appeared not there that day with their full retinue, whereat the king marvels and is wroth. Southampton.
To the sheriffs of London. Order to cause proclamation to be made and notice given, that the king of his particular knowledge has granted that all alien merchants now in England or coming thither during the next four years may pay such subsidy and custom upon their wool and merchandise as they used to pay before the ordinance or statute made in the parliament lately holden at Westminster, and none other nor otherwise, that or any other ordinances or statutes to the contrary notwithstanding; as order was therein made that all such merchants should pay for the subsidy 60s. upon every sack of wool and every 240 woolfells, and 106s. 8d. upon every last of hides, to be taken by the king during his life, and although that subsidy was granted to his use and profit, in consideration that, if those merchants should so pay it, damage and loss would ensue to his lieges in buying and selling wool more than to the said merchants, he has made the said grant, willing to make provision for the public weal and the profit of the lieges, to the end that they may sell their wool more speedily and dearer; and his will is that this be brought to the knowledge of all concerned. Condition, that John ap Harry shall by himself or by others at his procurement do no hurt or harm to any of the lieges, nor fire their houses, neither shall he contrary to the laws and statutes of the realm make or lead any unlawful assemblies to the prejudice of the king or the disturbance or terror of the people, or procure them to be made or led by way of insurrection or otherwise, nor adhere to John Oldecastelle knight late lord of Cobbeham for annulment or breach of the rights of holy mother church, nor go nor ride with him against the king or any of the lieges, to do hurt contrary to the law, nor by himself or others support or aid the said John in his heretical opinion contrary to the laws and statutes of the realm.

Condition, that if the said aldermen shall be impleaded or troubled by reason of a recognisance for 2,000l. by them made to John Tiptot knight, John Tirell esquire and Roger Hunt 1 July last before Richard Norton by virtue of the king's writ, the said bishop and the others, or one of them, shall content them of the said sum, or of parcel thereof now or hereafter paid by the aldermen, and of all damages and costs.
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 6 August this year by Edward Brounflete of Yorkshire, Thomas Heuster of Staffordshire, William Walworth of London, Thomas Hamme of Herefordshire, Thomas Mitforde of Northumberland, William Harwedoun of Norhamptonshire, Thomas Kempeston of Suffolk and Thomas Filkes of London 'peutrer' for Thomas Mollesley of Walsale co. Stafford, that he shall from day to day appear in chancery upon warning received.
Memorandum that 23 July 5 Henry V between the second and third hour after noon in a chapel of St. Mary above the lower gate of the priory of Suthwyke by Portchestre, in presence of Henry archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas bishop of Durham, Humphrey duke of Gloucestre, Henry Fitz Hugh knight treasurer of England, John de Arundell lord Mautravers, Walter Hungerforde knight steward of the household and Simon Gaunstede keeper of the chancery rolls, Henry bishop of Winchester then chancellor delivered to the king his great seal of gold sealed up in a leathern bag under the bishop's seal, and the king took it and, sealed up as it was, straightway delivered it to the bishop of Durham; and he took it, and caused it to be carried with him to Wykham, and there in presence of John Pelham knight, Master Richard Holme clerk, John Thoralby one of the chancery clerks, Thomas Haseley one of the clerks of the crown and others sealed the same day the king's letters patent of safe conduct to Master Lewis de Cleremont and William Cadier, and divers writs; and so from day to day when need was.
