Thomas Northrigge of Chertesey 'husbondman' to the king. Recognisance for 20l., to be levied etc. in Surrey.
Condition, that he shall abide the award of the abbot of Chertesey touching all disputes between himself and John Bonevelat, so that the same be made before the feast of St. John Baptist next.

York.
Walter Lokette 'skynner' and Robert Englysshe 'gentilman' both of York, to John archbishop of York. Recognisance for 50l., to be levied etc. in the city of York.
Condition, that they shall have Thomas Doncastre 'gentilman' in chancery upon warning received, to answer the archbishop touching what shall be laid against him.

Thomas Seintclere of 'Estgrenestede' co. Sussex esquire to John Sturgeoun citizen and mercer of London. Recognisance for 20l., to be levied etc. in Sussex.
This recognisance was taken by William Prestwyke by a writ.

William abbot of Fountains to Master Robert Ormeshede vicar of Appilby co. Westmerland. Recognisance for 100l., to be levied etc. in the said county.
Condition, that he shall abide the award of William bishop of Karliol touching all matters, causes, quarrels, actions, controversies etc. between the parties, so that the same be made before Christmas day next.

Quitclaim with warranty of all tenements in the parish of St. Olave Suthwerke which fell to the said Thomas by inheritance after his said father's death. Witnesses: John Deken, William Redeston, Thomas Russell, Roger Overton, Stephen Joly, John Clamperde. Dated 12 June 6 Henry VI.

Robert Russell burgess of Bristol to Roger Heroun clerk, John Juyn knight and John Newton burgess of Bristol, their executors and assigns. Gift of all his goods and chattels moveable and immovable, quick and dead, on either side the sea. Dated Easter day 6 Henry VI.

John Wakerle of Norhamptonshire esquire to Agnes Plomere. Recognisance for 20l., to be levied etc. in Norhamptonshire.
Condition, that John Wakerle, John Billyng and Simon Tapicer shall abide and perform the award of William Tresham touching all debates, trespasses, demands and actions between Agnes Plomer and them to this date, and touching the right, title and claim to three messuages, 8 acres of land and half an acre of wood, and other lands in Petyrburgh specified in divers petitions at her suit presented against them in chancery which are on the chancery files, so that the same be made before Michaelmas day next.

The prior and convent of Markeby co. Lincoln to the prior and convent of St. Peter Thurgarton co. Nottingham and to their successors. Gift with warranty of a yearly rent of 10l., to be taken at the high altar in the cathedral church of St. Mary Lincoln on Monday after Michaelmas and Tuesday after Whitsuntide by even portions upon receipt of an acquittance for every payment bearing date at Thurgarton, and covenant that any acquittance bearing date elsewhere, or anything else by them or their successors alleged in discharge of that rent or of any parcel thereof shall be null and void. Dated the chapter house Markeby, 8 April 6 Henry VI.
Memorandum of acknowledgment at Markeby priory 10 May before the abbot of Haweneby, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.
John Tyrell and Thomas Tyrell, each of Essex esquire, to Thomas Godeston, John Sumpter, John Basset and William Persoun, executors of Robert de Teye esquire the executor of William Marney knight. Receipt and acquittance for 300 marks bequeathed by William Marney to Anne his daughter, wife of Thomas Tyrell. Dated 8 July 6 Henry VI.

John earl of Huntyngdoun to the king. Recognisance for 600 marks, payable by six instalments at the receipt of the exchequer, for his trespass in taking to wife Anne who was wife of Edmund earl of March and for her trespass in marrying him, to be levied etc. in Huntingdonshire.
This recognisance was taken by the chancellor by writ of privy seal.
The said earl to the king. (Like) recognisance, payable when the king shall reach the age of puberty, for his trespass etc. (as the last).
This recognisance was taken by the chancellor by the same writ.
June 21.
Westminster.
To the sheriffs of London. Order upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that all captains and hired soldiers who are retained to sail to France on the king's service in company of Thomas earl of Salisbury shall be without the city of London on Friday next ready to march with him to Sandewich for delivery of ships and for their embarkation, so that they shall be ready to sail straightway after their muster, which will be on Wednesday June 30 without fail.

To the sheriffs of the city of York. Order, for particular causes specially moving the king and council, upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that no man shall without special licence of the king take any wheat or other grain over to foreign parts under pain of forfeiture thereof.
Like writs to the sheriff of Yorkshire and the sheriff of Lincolnshire.
To the keepers of the passage in the port of Kyngeston upon Hull and in singular the ports and places adjacent. Order, for particular causes etc., to suffer no wheat etc. to pass or be taken over without special licence.

Charter with warranty of the manor of Hardenhuysshe and of sixteen messuages, four carucates of land, 12 acres of meadow and 40 acres of pasture in Rusteshale co. Wiltesir which, by fine levied in the king's court in the octaves of the Purification 5 Henry VI William Bulloke gave to the said John Reynes and Alice and to the heirs of the said Alice. The prior and convent of Blithe to the king. Recognisance for 500 marks, to be levied etc. of their lands and chattels and church goods in Notynghamshire.

Indenture of defeasance of a recognisance for 200 marks made by Robert lord of Ponynges to John Fray and John Leventhorp, to be levied etc. in Sussex, upon condition that Henry Cole, his heirs and all his feoffees shall abide and perform the award of John Hody and Thomas Cokayn chosen on behalf of Henry Cole, Nicholas Dixon clerk and John Tyrell on behalf of John Plymmouth of London 'tayllour,' Richard Tyler of Hoddesdoun 'maltman,' John Somer of Stansted Abbots 'yoman,' Richard Geddyng late of London 'gentilman,' Joan his wife, Peter de Pole of Derbyshire 'gentilman,' John Leye and William Trottere touching the title and possession of three messuages, a toft, 460 acres of land, 45 acres of meadow, 60 acres of wood, 8 marks of rent and a rent of 1lb. of pepper and 1lb. of cumin in Amwelle, Hoddesdoun, Thele and Brykendoun, any previous recovery thereof against them by Henry Cole notwithstanding, so that the award be made before Allhallows next, and if those arbitrators may not agree, the award of Philip bishop of Ely the umpire chosen by the parties, so that his award be made before the Purification next.
