Thomas Rasyn 'taillour,' Thomas Couper 'scryvener' and Thomas Blexton of Suthwerke 'armirer' to Thomas Haseley esquire, John Corve and William Brooke rector of St. George Suthwerke. Recognisance for 100 marks, to be levied etc. in Surrey.
Condition, that Thomas Rasyn and Thomas Couper shall deliver at Suthwerke to John Gloucestre, son of John Gloucestre deceased, when he shall reach the age of twenty one or immediately after his marriage, if he shall marry in the mean time, 20l., a silver piece called a 'Frensshcup,' a maser bound with silver gilt, six silver spoons, a pair of beads (precum) of 'jete' with silver gauds, a girdle harnessed with silver, a 'baselarde' harnessed with silver, a 'dagger' harnessed with silver, and a scarlet gown furred with 'calaber'; and to Alice daughter of the deceased at twenty one or marriage other 20l., a silver piece called a 'Frensshcup,' a maser bound with silver gilt, six silver spoons, a pair of beads of 'coral' with a cross of silver gilt, and a girdle harnessed with silver, to them severally bequeathed by his will, John being now aged fourteen and Alice twelve; and proviso that, if John die unmarried within the age aforesaid, they shall deliver the said money and goods to Alice at twenty one or marriage with the other above mentioned, and if Alice likewise die they shall deliver to John at twenty one or marriage the money and goods to her bequeathed with the other, and that the said Thomas and Thomas shall allege no payment or delivery made elsewhere than at Suthwerke, and no release or acquittance bearing date elsewhere to bar the claim of the said John and Alice.
