William Dullerton the king's lavender is sent to the prior and convent of Bodman co. Cornwall, to take yearly for life such maintenance of that house as William Somercotes in his life time had therein. (fn. 1) By p.s. [2441.]

John Herwarde parson of Padistowe co. Devon to John Yeo esquire in Devon and Richard Waterman of Padistowe 'gentilman.' Recognisance for 100l., to be levied etc. in Devon. (fn. 1)
Condition, that he shall abide and perform the award of John Cobethorne dean of the cathedral church of St. Peter Exeter and Roger Bolter the precentor touching all actions, plaints and debates between him and the said John Yeo and Richard and Thomas Shapton to 22 October, or of Edmund bishop of Exeter in case the dean and precentor may not agree, with proviso that their award shall be made before Easter next, and the bishop's before St. Peter's Chains.

Confirmation of their estate in all the lands of the said Joan in Lincolnshire by virtue of her charter to them and to Thomas Claymonde of Hole now deceased, their heirs and assigns; and warranty of the lands aforesaid. John Brenchesley of Benynden co. Kent 'woder' to Reynold Lucy knight. Recognisance for 500 marks, to be levied etc. in Kent. (fn. 2)
Condition, that before 9 November next he shall pay the said Reynold and Agnes his wife 220 marks, arrears of a rent of 40 marks which he ought to have paid during her life of four messuages, 160 acres of land, 110 acres of meadow, 500 acres of wood, 160 acres of marsh etc. in Benynden, Rolvynden, Newenden, Stapulhurst and Sandhurst co. Kent, and before that date by advice of the chancellor and of their counsel he and all others who have an estate in those lands shall make them a sure estate in that rent for life of the said Agnes.

John Byllynge to Agnes Plomer late of Nassyngton, her heirs and assigns. Charter with warranty of 6½ acres of arable land lying dispersedly in the fields of Peterburgh, whereof 4 acres 1 rood lie in certain selions 'south' and 'north' by 'Dosthorp Outtegonge' with ditches and with one selion dwelt upon hard by with 'frisshes,' 1 acre in the Stibbynges 'est' and 'west,' 1 rood at 'Estfelde cros' abutting upon the cross, half an acre at Dosthorp between the neif [land] of the abbot of Peterburgh and land of the treasurer and convent there, and half an acre in 'Hoketiscroft' between land sometime of John Haroughden on either side, all sometime of William Plomer son and heir of John Plomer of Peterburgh; and proviso that this warranty shall only bar the grantor and his heirs, and not extend to recovery of the value. Condition, that before St. Hilary next the said Nicholas shall deliver by indentures to the said John or his executors all goods, chattels, charters, writings and muniments of the said John and others to him delivered by the said John or his deputies and not delivered up again, and a writing whereby the said John gave all his goods and chattels to him and to John Dowenyng now deceased.

Quitclaim with warranty of all her lands and tenements, rents and services and demesnes in the city and suburbs of Karliol or elsewhere in Cumberland, which descended to her by inheritance after the decease of her ancestors. Hertforde called 'Piersfelde,' Draytons and Longlye whereof John Erle is tenant to farm, a tenement there called Nasteyes whereof Richard Boude is tenant, a tenement there called Marlers whereof Thomas Burnarde is tenant, a tenement there called Osbernes whereof Simon Tounesende otherwise Sheperde is tenant, a tenement there called Lessinges whereof Robert Louell is tenant, a tenement there called 'Saundres Drawbake' whereof William Crouche is tenant, two tenements there called Wydmerseye and Wyreles whereof John Lorde was lately tenant, all to farm, a meadow there with land adjacent called Hatches by 'Ketwelgrene,' and 13s. 4d. of yearly rent issuing from a tenement there of Thomas Boude; and quitclaim with warranty of the premises.
