Thomas Hale of Yillyng co. Middlesex 'husbondman' to William Estfelde, Henry Frowyk citizens and aldermen of London, John Carpenter, Robert Burton, Alexander Aune, John Wylton, Thomas Dale clerk, John Leget clerk and Roger Byrkes, their heirs and assigns. Charter with warranty of all his lands, rents and services in Great Grenforde and Yillyng late of Thomas Charleton knight, Henry Frowyk, William Bray, Thomas Warner, John Knot, Robert Admonde, John Eustace, William Boure and Robert Algar, who made a quitclaim thereof to the grantor, his heirs and assigns, in his possession being, and with John Snell clerk and John Admonde of 'Est Braynforde' in the parish of Yillynge, both now deceased, had the same, among other lands etc. in the said parishes, by feoffment of Thomas Gale the elder of Yillyng 'yoman,' cousin and heir of Richard atte Halle of Great Grenford. Witnesses: William Bray, John Bernevyle, Robert Warner, John Beste, Richard Fynyngley. Dated Great Grenforde, 4 December 13 Henry VI.

John Lyncolne, son and heir of Thomas Lyncolne citizen and goldsmith of London, to John Kyngesden citizen and goldsmith of London, William Lowther and William Stokes, their heirs and assigns. Charter with warranty of all his lands, rents and services in the city and suburbs of London, Robert Otteley being mayor of London, Thomas Bernewelle and Simon Eyre sheriffs. Witnesses: Nicholas Yeo, Richard Aas, Nicholas Lovet, William Twyer, Robert Bamburgh. Dated London, 10 December 13 Henry VI.
Memorandum of acknowledgment, 14 December.
Thomas son and heir of Barnard son and heir of Alice Wodeforde of the parish of St. Nicholas Bristol to Stephen Cryse citizen and skinner of London and Isabel his wife, mother of the said Thomas, and to their assigns during their lives and the life of the longest liver. Charter indented with warranty of all his messuages, lands, rents, reversions and services in the town and suburbs of Bristol, rendering during his mother's life 26s. 8d. a year, and the said Stephen after his wife's decease 40s. a year. The grantees shall repair and maintain the premises, bear all other charges, and surrender the same in as good state as they received them, fire, storm and reasonable wear excepted; John Sharp being mayor of Bristol, Thomas Noreys and [ (fn. 1) ] Canynges bailiffs. Witnesses: Thomas Norton, Walter Norton, Thomas Parkhous, Richard Bedston, Roger Skynner. Dated Bristol 20 July 11 Henry VI.

Westminster.
Joan countess of Westmerland to the king. Recognisance for 4,000l., to be levied etc. in Yorkshire.
Condition, that until three weeks after Easter 1436 neither she, Richard earl of Salisbury nor any other by their procurement, order or instigation shall do or procure hurt or harm to Ralph earl of Westmerland or any officer, minister, servant or tenant of his, nor shall by violence, force or unlawfully enter upon any lands, tenements or possession of Ralph late earl of Westmerland or of other enfeoffed with him or to his use occupied by the now earl or by any feoffees or assigns of his, or to the use of any of them, nor shall do aught whereby the now earl, his feoffees etc. shall be thrust out of possession of such lands, or disturbed in taking the profits thereof, save by virtue of a judgment or process of law in their favour in a court of the king or other court, provided always that they shall not be barred from claiming and peaceably and lawfully entering the said lands whensoever they shall please; and condition that on the aforesaid day they or one of them shall appear in person before the council, unless detained by serious infirmity without fraud or covin, so that without grave bodily peril they may not travail.
