Order to the sheriff of Northumberland for election of a coroner instead of William Bedenall, who is dead.

Westminster.
To the escheator in Essex. Order to give Richard Malegrave, son and heir of Thomas Malegrave, seisin of his father's lands; as he proved his age before John Iwardby late escheator, and the king has taken his homage and fealty. By p.s. [3130.]

Westminster.
To the escheator in Essex. Order to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with certain lands in 'Eppynghethe,' delivering to John Clifton, John Fastolf, Henry Inglose, John Tirell knights, Henry Langlee esquire, John Fastolf of Oulton, Thomas Peket esquire and Edmund Wychyngham any issues thereof taken; as it is found by inquisition, taken before Thomas Stokdale late escheator, that Nicholas Wychyngham esquire was seised of the said lands, and gave the same to John Clifton and the others and to the heirs and assigns of Edmund Wychyngham; and by another inquisition, taken before John Iwardeby late escheator, it is found that the said Nicholas was seised of the manor of 'Eppynghethe,' and gave the same, by name of all his lands, rents and services there, to John Clifton and the others, and to the heirs and assigns of the said Edmund, and that the same is not held of the king.

To the escheator in Devon. Order to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with the manor of Wolston, three burgages, four messuages, one dovecote, 13 acres of land and 4 acres of meadow in Malburgh, a burgage in Kyngesbrugge, a messuage and 30 acres of land in Oldewey in the parish of Alsyngton (sic), delivering to Elizabeth and Anne daughters of Edmund Cheyne knight any issues thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by the escheator, that Katherine Lutrell at her death held the premises by demise of John Streche knight to John Streche his son and the said Katherine then his wife, and to the heirs of their bodies, that John Strecche the son died without issue by her, that John Strecche knight overlived him and died, and that the reversion thereof descended to the said Elizabeth and Anne as his cousins and heirs, namely daughters of of the said Edmund son of Cicely daughter of John Strecche knight, that they are within age and in ward of the king, and that the said manor etc. are not held of the king.
Nov. 20.

To the escheator in Gloucestershire. Order to give Nicholas Stanshawe livery of the manor of Stourdoun, and the issues thereof taken, but to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with other the manors, lands etc. hereinafter mentioned, delivering to the said Nicholas any issues thereof taken; as it is found by inquisition, taken before Nicholas Poyntz late escheator, that Margery who was wife of Nicholas Stanshawe at her death was seised in her demesne as of fee of the said manor, a water mill called 'Glaspellesmylle,' and a messuage in Wyke by Berkeley, took the said Nicholas to her husband, and had issue Robert their son now living, that William Smalecombe and John Webbe of Tokynton gave the manor of Henton in the hundred of Grymboldysasche and all lands, rents, reversions and services in Henton which they had by feoffment of Richard Waleys to the said Margery and to the heirs of her body, that she was thereof seised in fee tail, and died so seised, that at the time of her death the said Nicholas and Margery were seised of the manor of Hempton and 6 marks of rent in Stoke Gyffard and Wyke by gift of Thomas Capell and John Wykeham to them and their heirs, and that the manor of Stourdoun is held of the king by the service of rendering 15s. a year for all service, the other manors, messuage, mill, land, rents, reversions and services of others than the king; and the king has taken the fealty of the said Nicholas.
Nov. 12.
Westminster.
To the collectors in the port of Bristol of the subsidy of 3s. upon every tun of wine and 12d. in the pound. Order to deliver to John Tiptoft knight or to his deputy without payment of custom or subsidy six barrels of 'sturgeoun' purveyed for consumption of his household, as John Adam one of his servants has made oath in chancery. To the collectors in the port of London etc. Order to deliver without payment of the subsidy to Henry bishop of Winchester the cardinal of England, his attorney or deputy, six tuns of red wine of Gascony bought and purveyed in Gascony and brought to the said port for consumption of his household, as Thomas Walsyngham of London 'vynter' has borne witness in chancery.
Like writ in favour of John archbishop of York in respect of two tuns.
Like writ in favour of John Tiptoft knight in respect of one tun.
Nov. 30.
Westminster.
To the constable of the Tower of London or his lieutenant. Order to receive John Stevenys from one who shall deliver him on behalf of the king, and to keep him in custody in the Tower until further order.

To the mayor of Wynchelse. Order to deliver to John Bovyle the king's envoy and John Rysby envoy of Queen Katherine his mother, who are sailing to Normandy for furtherance of business of the king and the said queen there, a ship or other vessel for their passage, ready to sail for the town of Roen or Harfleu.
Dec. 15.
Westminster.
To the escheator in Somerset and Dorset. Order to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with the manors of Kyngesdoun and Somerton Erle co. Somerset, Pompknolle, Tolre and Kentecombe co. Dorset, delivering up any issues thereof taken; as it is found by divers inquisitions, taken before the escheator, that John earl of Arundell at his death held those manors in right of Maud his wife yet living, and that they are not held of the king.
Dec. 13.
Westminster.
To the escheator in Hertfordshire. Order to take the fealty of Philip Botiller, brother and heir of Edward son and heir of Philip Botiller of Wodehall knight, and to give him seisin of his father's lands, the said Edward having died within age in ward of the late king; as he has proved his age before the escheator, and the king has taken his homage. By p.s. [3143.]
To the escheator in Wiltesir. Order to give the said Philip seisin etc.; as he has proved his age before John Santon escheator in Hertfordshire, and the king has commanded that escheator to take his fealty.
