chancery 28 November 17 Henry VI by William Stapilton
esquire, son of William Stapilton, that he shall there appear in
person three weeks after Easter next to answer touching what shall
be laid against him, unless in the mean time Richard earl of
Salisbury shall make an award in writing under his seal touching
all actions, demands, debates, plaints etc. between the said
William the son and Margaret his wife on the one part and Thomas
de Bethum and Mary his wife on the other part, and touching
the title and possession of all lands of William the father, Nicholas
Vepont or any other to their use concerning which there was
dispute between the parties, or unless the earl shall under his
seal with assent of the parties prorogue his award beyond that
term, in which case the said William shall appear on the morrow
of St. John Baptist then next, unless the earl shall before that
day make his award as aforesaid. |
