Westminster.
To the farmers, receivers, bailiffs or other the occupiers or ministers of the manor of Weston Turvyle co. Bukingham for the time being. Order to pay to John Iwardeby the king's serjeant 11l. a year for life, and the arrears since 31 March last; as in recompense for his services in the receipt of the exchequer to King Henry IV, the late king and the king for thirty years and more without the grant of any fee for life, on the date aforesaid the king granted him for life 11l. a year of the said manor, and 9l. a year of the manor called Great Kymbell co. Bukingham.

To the farmers etc. of the manor called Great Kymbell for the time being. Like order, mutatis mutandis, for payment of 9l. a year and the arrears.

Windsor castle.
To the sheriff of Oxford and Berkshire for the time being. Order of the first issues and profits of those counties to pay to Robert Manfelde one of the marshals of the king's hall 15l. a year for life and the arrears since 13 July last, on which date for good service the king granted him thereof for life 15l. a year, notwithstanding that he has for life the keeping of the king's lions with wages of 6d. a day, and the office of drainage of waters in Yorkshire. To the bailiffs or farmers of the town of Scardeburgh for the time being. Order to pay to Ralph Babthorp the king's esquire 25 marks a year for life, and the arrears for Michaelmas term last; as by letters patent of 24 August 15 Henry VI the king granted him for life 25 marks a year of the issues or farm of that town.

To the sheriff of York for the time being. Order to pay to Ralph Babthorp (as above) 25 marks a year for life and the arrears for Michaelmas term last; as by letters patent of 24 August 15 Henry VI the king granted him for life 25 marks a year of the issues, profits, farms and revenues of that county.

Westminster.
To the treasurer of Ireland for the time being. Order to pay to Martin Penteney for life the wages of old time due and accustomed to the office of serjeant at arms in Ireland, and the arrears since 23 July last, on which date for his good service the king appointed the said Martin serjeant at arms there for life in the room of Lawrence Neweton deceased, with the wages, fees, profits and rewards of old time due and accustomed.

To the abbot of Gloucestre for the time being. Order to pay to John Beauchamp 40l. a year for life, and the arrears for Michaelmas term last; as the late king by letters patent, confirmed by the king 15 December 1 Henry VI, granted to the said John his serjeant and esquire for life 40l. a year of the fee farm rendered to the king by the abbot and convent, even as Nicholas Merbury deceased had.

To the chamberlain of Cestre for the time being. Order to pay to John Beauchamp the king's knight 40l. a year for life, and the arrears since 27 May last, on which date the king granted to the said John, one of his carvers, the office of constable of Rothelane castle co. Flynt for life, taking in that office 40l. a year for his wages, with all other fees, profits, commodities and emoluments due and accustomed, even as did John Saintlo esquire or any other who had that office.

To the sheriff of Wiltesir for the time being. Order every year to pay to Richard Clyvedoun the king's serjeant 6d. a day during his life, and to pay him the arrears since 8 July last, on which date in consideration of his services the king appointed him for life overseer and clerk of the works within the New Forest co. Suthampton, taking in that office 6d. a day of the issues and profits of Wiltesir.

To the keeper of the hanaper of chancery for the time being. Order to pay to the king's servant 'Gartier' king of arms 40l. a year for life and the arrears for Michaelmas term last; as in consideration of the acceptable service of the said 'Gartier' to the late king and to the king no small time as common serjeant to the order of the Garter, and at the request of the lords of that order, on 5 May 17 Henry VI the king granted him for life 40l. a year of the issues and profits of the hanaper.

Westminster.
To the receivers, farmers or occupiers of the lordship of Richemonde for the time being. Order to pay to Margaret Askham, an anchoress within the chapel of St. Edmund Richemonde, 20s. a year for life and the arrears since the death of John duke of Bedforde lord of Richemonde; as by letters patent of 26 January last the king of his alms granted her for life 20s. a year at Michaelmas from the duke's death, even as she had heretofore.

To the sheriff of York for the time being. Order every year to pay to Richard Hase 2d. a day, and to pay him the arrears since 4 January last, on which day the king granted him for life the office of janitor of York castle, to be occupied by himself or by deputy, with wages of 2d. a day, and the fees and commodities to that office due and accustomed, to be taken of the issues and profits of the county.

Westminster.
To the keeper of the great wardrobe for the time being. Order to pay and deliver to John Mounshill brouderer of London during good behaviour his wages and livery of raiment, and the arrears thereof; as by letters patent of 19 May 16 Henry VI the king granted him during good behaviour the office of his brouderer, taking such wages as other brouderers used to take, and livery of raiment for the winter season.

To the bailiffs of Scardeburgh for the time being. Order to pay to John Paule chaplain, now warden of a chantry for one chaplain in the chapel there called the 'Charnell,' 6 marks a year, and the arrears since Michaelmas 17 Henry VI; as by letters patent of 6 February 1 Henry IV that king granted to Robert Neuby chaplain and his successors, chaplains of the said chantry, 6 marks a year of the fee farm of the town.

To the chief butler or his representative in the port of Kyngeston upon Hull for the time being. Order to deliver to the prior and convent of the house of St. Michael of the Carthusian order by Kyngeston upon Hull and to their successors one tun of wine for the feast of Allhallows last, one tun for Michaelmas last, and one tun a year at either feast; as King Richard II by letters patent, confirmed by King Henry IV and the late king, granted to the prior and convent and to their successors of his alms one tun of wine of Gascony in that port a year at Allhallows, and by letters patent of 28 November 1 Henry V the late king granted to the then prior and convent and to their successors in almoin one tun a year at Michaelmas of his wines in that port.

Order every year to pay to Thomas Baker the chafewax in chancery 2d. a day during his life, and to pay him the arrears thereof; as by letters patent of 8 March 16 Henry VI the king granted him for life 2d. a day of the issues and profits of the hanaper.

Kennington manor.
To the receivers, bailiffs or farmers for the time being of the lands of John duke of Bedforde deceased within the lordship of Kendale. Order to pay to William de Biggynges for life two thirds of a rent of 10 marks, and to pay him the arrears of the whole rent from the day of the duke's death until the endowing of Jaquetta late his wife, and of two thirds thereof since that date; as by letters patent of 12 December 13 Henry IV the duke gave the said William his clerk for life the chantry or free chapel of 'Saint Mariholme' within the water of Wynnandermere co. Westmerland, with lands, rents, services, fisheries, commons of pasture and other commodities thereto pertaining, and a yearly rent of 10 marks issuing from his lands within the said lordship, to be taken at Kirkeby in Kendale by the hands of his receiver, bailiff or farmer, as did other chaplains or clerks from of old time; and in consideration thereof, for that the lordship, lands etc. have come to him as cousin and heir of the duke and are in his hand, save a third part thereof assigned to the said Jaquetta in dower, the king has confirmed the duke's letters patent and the estate of the said William for life in the said chantry or chapel and rent, willing further that his writs of liberate currant be addressed to the receivers, bailiffs or farmers of his lands within the said lordship for payment of the two thirds of the said rent, and of the whole arrears from the duke's death until the time aforesaid, and of two thirds thereof from that time, and writs of allocate dormant to the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer, or to the auditors of accounts of the said lands for the time being, to allow those payments to the said receivers, bailiffs or farmers. Oct. 4.
Windsor castle.
To the sheriff of Hertford and Essex for the time being. Order every year to pay to William Lynne and John Norman 9d. a day during their lives and the life of the longest liver; as for their good services concerning his robes the king has granted to them for their lives etc. the keeping of his petty wardrobe within the Tower of London, with wages of 6d. a day for themselves, and 3d. a day for a groom to be under them, to be taken of the issues, profits, farms and revenues of those counties. To the keeper of the great wardrobe for the time being. Order every year against Christmas to give the said William and John livery of raiment for one of them and for one groom under them during their lives etc. as other the yeomen and grooms of the king's chamber have; as the king has granted them (as above) mutatis mutandis, with raiment as aforesaid. By p.s. (the same writ).
