To the abbot and convent of St. Benedict in the diocese of Norwich. Nomination of Gilbert Haksmall to receive the pension wherein by reason of the abbot's new creation they are bound to one of the king's clerks, until by them provided with a benefice. By p.s.

Order to take again letters patent under their seal concerning a corrody of 70s. a year for life which Robert Jonnesson has of that priory, to admit William Balgue one of the king's serjeants to their house, and minister to him such corrody for his life, making and delivering to him other letters with mention of what he shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do; as the said Robert is minded to give up his estate in that corrody to the end that the said William may have it, and in consideration of his good and unpaid service the king has granted the same to him for life. Memorandum of an agreement made before the chancellor at Redynge 19 January this year between John Arundell warden or dean of the college of St. George within Wyndesore castle on the one part and the canons of the said college on the other part, that John Mildenhale and others by the dean enfeoffed of certain lands, rents etc. in the parish of St. Mary Somerset in 'Temstret' London shall make a feoffment of the same to John Coryngham clerk and his heirs, to the intent that he shall make a feoffment to the warden or dean and canons of the premises and of other lands which he and the dean purchased of Andrew Sperlyng and others, to fulfil the will of Thomas late duke of Exeter, according to indentures made between him and the dean and chapter.

Quitclaim with warranty of the manors of Withkalle and Kynthorp, with all lands, rents, reversions, revenues, knights' fees, advowsons and other services etc. in Withkalle, Kynthorp or elsewhere in Lincolnshire which they have by fine levied in the king's court by gift of the said William, Robert Isham, Roger Margery and William Stanley. Condition, that John Darby late of Mauldmeuburn co. Westmerland 'yoman' shall render him to the prison of the king's marshalsea in the octaves of St. John Baptist next, and shall then and there appear in person.
Cancelled, upon the acknowledgment of the said Robert and John that so he did.

The abbot and convent of Bylegh to the prior and convent of St. Bartholomew in 'Westsmythefelde' London and their successors. Bond to pay 20s. as often as a yearly pension of 20s. shall be three months in arrear after any feast or term of payment, which Richard Smyth parson of Danyngbury and all his predecessors have paid time out of mind, and he and his successors are bound to pay at Michaelmas day to the prior and convent. To the sheriffs of London. Order upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made of certain points and articles which the king is sending under the great seal in form of a patent, bidding all the king's lieges to observe the same; as after long communication with persons sent to Calais on behalf of the duchess of Burgundy, certain ambassadors, commissioners and deputies of the king have agreed upon the said points and articles touching intercourse, traffic, sea fishery and other needful matters which concern England, Ireland and Calais on the one part and the duchy and county of Brabant and Flanders, the lordship and town of Malines (Methlinia) on the other part for a term of three years, in respect of the land from 29 September last, of the fishery from 5 October last, and of the sea etc. from 1 November next until 1 November 1442, that day included; and she has caused the same to be proclaimed through all her power, as witness is borne to the king.
