Condition, that he, his heirs or assigns, shall pay to Robert Brut or his attorney in the cathedral church of St. Paul London 46s. 8d. on Michaelmas day next or before Allhallows following, 46s. 8d. on Easter day following or before Whitsuntide, and so year by year during the life of the said Robert, and shall suffer him during his life peaceably to possess all the lands in Notynghamshire and Lincolnshire that were of Thomas Brut knight, not aliening during his life those whereof he was seised in Herefordshire, nor any parcel thereof.

Request to take again their letters patent concerning a maintenance for life which Ralph Blakelowe has of that house at request of King Henry IV, to admit John Asshefelde and Thomas Seint John to their house, and minister to them such maintenance as he or any other before him had therein, making them letters patent under the common seal of the house with mention of what they shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do; as the said Ralph is minded to give up his letters to be cancelled, to the end that the said John and Thomas may have that maintenance for their lives and the life of the longest liver, and the king has sent them thither. To the abbot and convent of Burton upon Trent. Request to take again and cancel letters patent concerning a maintenance or corrody in that abbey which John Morker spigurnel of chancery has at the request of King Henry IV by grant of the late abbot and convent, to admit Peter Aumener one of the clerks of chancery and Alice his wife to their house, and minister the same to them and to the longest liver, making them letters patent under the common seal of the house with mention of what they shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do; as John Morker is minded to give up his letters to be cancelled, to the end that the said Peter and Alice may have that corrody for their lives etc. by grant of the king, and the king has sent them thither. Brother Peter Bisshop prior of the house of friars of the order of the Holy Cross by the Tower of London and the convent to Thomas Haseley esquire, clerk of the crown and brother of their chapter. Demise with warranty for his life and one year longer, without rendering aught to them or their successors save at his free will, of a small hall called the 'Prioures halle,' a chamber called the 'Prioures chambre' with a cellar below the hall, a small low parlour near the said cellar, four chambers attached to the said hall on divers sides, and a garden thereto attached with a stable or diversory within the close of the house, with free ingress and egress for him and all his servants, friends and others, and for their needful carriage whatsoever, granting that they may freely prepare victuals for them and theirs in the convent kitchen when they please at the cost of the grantee in fuel etc. Dated the chapter house, 6 June 1440, 18 Henry VI.

Condition, that he shall abide and perform the award of William bishop of Lincoln and Humphrey earl of Stafforde by him chosen, William bishop of Salisbury and William earl of Suffolk chosen by William Fitz Hugh knight, or other like persons to be chosen severally by the parties if these or one of them be absent, and John Hody chief justice to hold pleas before the king and John Fray chief baron of the exchequer indifferently nominated by the king, touching the right, title and possession of the manors, lands etc. sometime of Henry Lescrop knight, brother of the said John, which John (sic) Fitz Hugh claims by virtue of letters patent of the late king made to Henry Fitz Hugh knight his father, so that their award be made in writing under their seals before Christmas day next, and if they make not such award by that day the award of Humphrey duke of Gloucestre and Henry cardinal of England, umpires chosen by their common consent, so that it be made likewise before Easter day next.
