Richard Bye and William Duket, late owners of a ship called 'le Goost,' to John Bouchier merchant of Bishops Lynne. Sale, for certain sums of money received, of the said ship with all the gear thereof, two boats and all instruments, stock and other things needful thereto belonging; also of all their merchandise and wares in Bordeaux and other places in Gascony and Aquitaine in the hands of their servants and factors there; and bond in 200l. that the same shall not be lost by accident at sea or elsewhere, taken by the enemy or by others, or sold, given or forfeited to any other to him unknown so that he shall not before the Epiphany next have peaceable possession and lawful title to the same within the realm. Dated Friday the feast of St. Martin in winter 1440, 19 Henry VI.
