Condition, that until the octaves of Midsummer next he shall safe keep Margery and Joan daughters of Richard Biroun esquire, provided that meantime no infirmity shall befal either of them, neither shall one of them escape or be taken out of his ward against his will.

Condition, that before Michaelmas day 1447 he shall purchase to him and his heirs lands etc. to the annual value of 10 marks over and above all charges and reprises, and before Easter following shall make a grant to the said David and the others, their heirs and assigns, of a yearly rent of 10 marks issuing therefrom, under a condition for defeasance of that rent if they shall peaceably enjoy the manor called 'Esthalle' and all lands, rents and services to the same pertaining with woods, ways, paths, hedges, ditches, marshes, waters, lanes, rights etc. in the towns and parishes of Dakenham and Berkyng which they have by his feoffment, without disturbance by him or his heirs, or by any other having a title through him or his ancestors.

Charter indented of demise of the manors of Coverham, Bellerby and Thyrne, and of all his messuages, lands, rents, reversions and services there and in Elyngstryng, Aclethorp, Caldbergh and Melmorby in Coverdale within the liberty of Rychemund, saving to the grantor and his heirs free ingress to scour and repair where need be a water course within the manor of Bellerby running to his mill of Burton Constable so that it be not obstructed, and power to dig and carry earth and stones within the manor of Bellerby needed to repair the banks thereof, and covenant that the grantee and his heirs shall not obstruct or divert the said water course from its present bed, and shall suffer the grantor and his heirs to dig and carry etc. as aforesaid; and condition (as before).
