Condition, that the said John shall be at pains to deliver to
the king's gaol of York castle the persons who lately slew one of
the servants of the abbot of Fontayns, to the end that they may
stand to right concerning his death, that he shall keep the peace
toward the abbot, the monks and their servants, so that no hurt
or harm be done by him or by his procurement to the abbot,
the monks or their servants, and that he shall appear in person
before the council on the morrow of Ascension day next to answer
touching what shall be laid against him. |

before the king in chancery 14 May 21 Henry VI by John
Penyngton knight, that he shall appear there in person before
the king on Wednesday next and from day to day until from
the court dismissed, and until then shall do or procure no hurt
