Westminster.
To the escheator in Wiltesir. Order to take the fealty of John Wylughby, and to give him and Anne his wife seisin of her purparty of the lands of William Cheyne knight and Cicely his wife (as above, p. 264).
Vacated, because above.
To the escheator in Somerset. Like order, mutatis mutandis, in favour of John Wylughby, whose fealty the king has ordered the escheator in Wiltesir to take, and of Anne his wife.
Like writs to the escheators in Lincolnshire (fn. 1) and Devon.
Likewise vacated.
June 6.
Westminster.
To the escheator in Westmerland and Cumberland. Order to give William Legh, son and heir of William Legh knight, seisin of the lands held by his father in fee and fee tail; as he has proved his age before the escheator, and for half a mark paid in the hanaper the king has respited his homage and fealty until Christmas day next.
To the escheator in Norffolk. Like order; as the said William has proved his age before the escheator in Westmerland and Cumberland, and for a fine paid in the hanaper the king has respited his homage and fealty until a day yet to come.
