Hugh Myrescogh of London 'goldsmyth' to Arthur Ormesby 'gentilman.' Recognisance for 12l., to be levied etc. in the city of London.
John Stronge, son and heir of John Stronge late of Ware co. Hertford, to William Eston citizen and fishmonger of London and Elizabeth his wife and to the heirs and assigns of the said William. Quitclaim with warranty of all the lands, rents and services in the town, fields and parish of Ware which they have by feoffment of John the son, by his charter dated Ware 11 February 23 Henry VI. John Lutterworth of London 'barbour' and Joan Lutterworth widow his mother to John Howard of London 'haberdassher,' Nicholas Balke and Walter Holme and to the heirs and assigns of John Howard. Charter with warranty of a whole messuage with garden adjacent in the parish of St. George Suthwerk, a little pincer (pincera (fn. 1) ) on the south side thereof, and a parcel of land or garden extending in length from the west side of the pincer, to wit from the south corner thereof, to the north corner of a house late of Peter Waryn and Alice his wife now built within the gardens there, the whole messuage, garden pincer and parcel extending in length from the high road eastward to land of the bishop of Winchester called the 'Wyles' ('Wiles') westward, and in breadth from a tenement, houses and gardens late of Stephen Priour and sometime in the tenure of Peter Waryn and Alice his wife southward to a tenement, houses and gardens sometime of Richard Turnour called the 'George' northward, which the now grantors, by name of John Lutterworth 'barbour' of Suthwerk and Joan, had by demise of Thomas Davy citizen and tailor of London, Christopher Boynton, Robert Danby and Thomas Haseley to them and the heirs and assigns of John Lutterworth, by charter of feoffment dated Suthwerk the feast of the Purification 19 Henry VI. John Howard of London 'haberdassher,' Nicholas Balke and Walter Holme of the one part to John Lutterworth of London 'barbour' and Joan Lutterworth widow, his mother, of the other part. Indenture of lease for their lives and the life of the longest liver of the messuage and garden, pincer and parcel of land or garden (above described), which the lessors had by their charter of feoffment dated (as above), rendering to the lessors 20s. a year at the four usual terms, the lessees keeping the same in repair at their own cost and bearing all charges. Kent late of Simon Vagge and Thomas Horseman, late of John Lufwike (sic); and proviso that this warranty shall only bar William Uvedale and his heirs, and not extend to voucher of warranty against strangers or to recovering to the value of the premises or any parcel thereof.
