Westminster.
Otho Colyn of Cornwall 'gentilman' to John Yerde esquire. Recognisance for 500 marks, to be levied etc. in Cornwall.
Condition, that before Michaelmas day next he shall make Margaret daughter of John Yerde, or persons nominated by the said John to her use, a good estate for her life of lands etc. in Cornwall to the value of 40 marks a year beyond reprises, to hold of the said Otho and his heirs at the rent of one rose a year for all services.
Brian Boys to John Stokle. Release of all personal actions. Dated 2 May 23 Henry VI.

Charter with warranty of the manor of Breydeshale co. Derby, and all his lands, rents, reversions and services there and elsewhere in Derbyshire. William lord Ferers to William bishop of Lincoln (and the others above named), their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of the manor of Breydeshale and all lands etc. there and elsewhere in Derbyshire. Dated 8 February 23 Henry VI.
Memorandum of acknowledgment of the foregoing charter and writing at Leycestre on Monday before St. Agnes before William Ascogh, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.
William Ormesby esquire to Arthur Ormesby esquire. Bond in 500 marks payable on Easter day next. Dated 30 January 23 Henry VI.
Memorandum of acknowledgment in chancery at Westminster, 13 February.
Arthur Ormesby and William Ormesby esquires. Indenture of defeasance of the foregoing bond, on condition that during the life of the said Arthur he and his assigns may peaceably enjoy all rents and profits of the manor of Ormesby co. Lincoln arising, and of divers other lordships, lands etc. in Ormesby and Utterby without impeachment or disturbance of the said William, his assigns, or any others in their name.

General release of all personal actions in right of Agnes his wife, one of the daughters and heirs of the testator, by reason of debt, account, detinue of goods, charters etc., trespass, chattels or other matter or demand. Alexander Chylde citizen and draper of London to Henry Asteley, his heirs and assigns. Charter of demise, at the instance of Thomas Moreton of Gravesende co. Kent, of a tenement in Gravesende called the 'Cristofre' situate between the public watercourse crossing the high street on the east, a messuage late of John Pettys on the west, the high street on the south and low water in the Thames on the north, a garden and barn with two houses and a dovecote therein, between a messuage sometime of John Spaldynge on the east, 'Dixy gardyn' on the west, land of the abbot of Tourhille London on the south and low water in the Thames on the north, common of pasture for four kine in the public marsh called 'Townmanmarsshe' in the parish of Melton, one acre of arable land in that parish called 'Ferthynge,' and 5 acres of reeds in the parish of 'West Tilbery' co. Essex, all which this grantor had with other lands by grant of Thomas Moreton. Witnesses: Henry Langley, John Rande, Thomas Sprever, John Sprever, John Page, John Okeham, Andrew Kebell, Richard Kebell, Lawrence Bocher. Dated 1 March 23 Henry VI.

Memorandum of a writ close (text follows), dated Westminster 26 January 23 Henry VI, and addressed to John Baunfelde esquire, ordering him under a pain of 200l. to have Thomas Boly (by whatever name he be called), a prisoner in his custody, in chancery on 22 February then next, with the cause wherefore he was taken and imprisoned; that the said John's return, upon a schedule to the writ attached, was (text follows) a certificate that the said Thomas was his neif pertaining to his manor of Hoxham co. Devon, that he and all his ancestors and all whose estate therein he has were seised of the said Thomas and his ancestors time out of mind, but that he would have the body of the said Thomas in chancery at the day named; that he did so, and that the said Thomas, being sworn upon the gospels and examined, did acknowledge himself a neif of the said John, adding that in 16 Richard II Thomas Baunfelde, father of the said John, did seize and have him for his neif to the said manor pertaining, Thomas Boly being then eighteen years of age; and that it was by the court determined that John Baunfelde should have him again as his neif.
