Order at his peril upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that from the 19th instant the king of Castile, his subjects, realms, lands and dominions are under the truce by land, water and sea made in the city of Tours on 28 May last by William de la Pole earl and marquess of Suffolk, Adam Moleyns keeper of the privy seal, Robert Roos knight and other the king's ambassadors with the duke of Orleans, the count of Vendome and other the commissaries of France between the king and France, their subjects, allies etc. to begin at set times and last until sunrise of 1 April 1446, so that the said allies who accept the truce upon oath should be included thereunder after two months from the date of such acceptance and oath; as the king of Castile and Leon, being an ally of France has accepted the same and has been sworn, as notice was given to the king on 19 January last in the city of Rouen. Order to take again their letters patent concerning a corrody or maintenance which John Dekene and William Alberton one of the clerks of the privy seal office have in that house, to admit to the house John Dekene and John Bollesdoun, and minister the same to them for their lives and the life of the longest liver as fully as any other person had it therein, making and delivering to them other letters patent under the common seal of their house with mention of what they shall receive, and writing again by the bearer what they will do, as the said John Dekene and William are minded to demise their estate therein to the end that by grant of the king John Bollesdoun may have the corrody with John Dekene; and in consideration of the long and notable service of John Bollesdoun in the war in France, and that the said William is willing to demise his estate therein in order to advance John Bollesdoun his kinsman, the king has granted the same to the said John and John as aforesaid. | |||||||
