Westminster.
To all sheriffs, mayors, bailiffs, ministers and subjects of the king within the realm. Order to suffer the men of the lordship of Bremesgrave with the eighteen berewicks of Museleie, Nortune, Lindeorde, Warthuil, Witeurde, Hundesfeld, Thessale, Weredeshale, Lea, Comble, Bericote, Asseberga, Tothehel, Tuneslega, Focheberie, Suruehel, Udecote and Tumbrehangre which are of the ancient demesne of the crown, as appears by a certificate sent into chancery at command of the king by the treasurer and the chamberlains, to be quit of payment of toll upon their goods and property, and of contributing to the expenses of knights coming to parliament, releasing any distress upon them made; as according to custom hitherto kept and approved in England men of the ancient demesne are and ought to be quit of such payment and contribution throughout the realm.
