Lincoln 'gentilman' to John Penycooke yeoman of the king's robes, Robert Roleston clerk, John Ewerby and Richard Watnynge, and to the heirs and assigns of John Penycooke. Charter with warranty of the whole manor of 'Overburnham' with all appurtenances in the Isle of Axeholme co. Lincoln, and all other lands, reversions, rents, commons, services etc. in that isle which descended to the grantor by inheritance after the death of John Eston his father, or of Margery mother of his said father. Memorandum of a writ close of diem clausit extremum, after the death of Reynold Motoun, dated 1 May 23 Henry VI (text follows), and addressed to the escheator in Warwickshire and Leycestershire, and of an inquisition by John Aylesbury the escheator delivered in chancery 14 November 24 Henry VI (text likewise follows), which was before him taken at Leycestre on Tuesday after Allhallows in that year, by oath of John Mershall of Kylby, Richard Langham, John Miriell, William Sutton, William Swynfen, William Lassell, Thomas Seer, Richard Sewall, Robert Forster, John Bodycote, John Webster, John Durwarde, Robert Nutte, John Nicholl, John Hachet, Thomas Swage and Thomas Skeryngton, who found that Roger Stoke was seised of the manor of Thurleston and of twelve messuages, seven virgates of land and 7l. 5s. 8d. of rent in Wykyngeston co. Leycester, held by knight service of the king as of the honour of Leycester, parcel of the duchy of Lancastre, that he gave the premises to Robert de Campania and Margaret his wife and to the heirs of their bodies, that they had issue Margaret and died, that the same descended to her as their daughter and heir, and she did enter and was thereof seised by the form of the gift; that she took Geoffrey Bugge of Leyk to her husband; that they had issue Edmund and died, that the same descended to Edmund as son and heir, who entered the same and died, that the premises descended to Baldwin as his son and heir, that he died thereof seised without issue, and the same descended to Margaret late the wife of the said Reynold as his sister and heir, that she did likewise enter and was thereof seised, that Reynold and Margaret were tenants thereof in her right at his death, that the manor is worth 6 marks a year over and above reprises, and the said land etc. 10l., that Robert Motoun knight was seised of a moiety of the manor and advowson of 'Stonystanton,' which is held of Thomas de Ferrariis esquire, by what services the jurors knew not, and is worth 4 marks a year over and above reprises, of a messuage, two virgates of land and 12s. 7d. a year of rent in Cuntesthorp held of the king as of the honour aforesaid, by what services they knew not, and worth 30s. a year, of two messuages and three virgates of land in Sutton by Broughton Asteley held of Joan de Asteley by what services they knew not, and worth 30s. a year, and of six virgates of land in 'Stonystanton' held of the prior of Coventre by what services they knew not, and worth 30s. a year, that by charter produced he gave the same, by name of his manor of 'Stonystanton' and all his lands, rents, reversions and services thereto pertaining, to the said Reynold and Margaret and to the heirs of their bodies, that Reynold died thereof so seised, and Margaret is thereof seised by right of survivorship, that the said Reynold held no other lands in that county of the king nor of any other, that he died on the last day of March last, and that Anne and Elizabeth his daughters are his next heirs, the said Anne being of the age of nine, the said Elizabeth of seven years and more.

Quitclaim with warranty, in her widowhood, of all the lands, rents, reversions and services, all wards, marriages, reliefs, heriots, escheats, waters, fisheries, ways, paths etc. in the towns and fields of Dyngley, Brampton and Sutton upon Welonde co. Norhampton which they had by gift of Thomas Alyngton of Haverbergh the younger, son and heir of Thomas the elder, as by charter dated Dyngley 24 April 17 Henry VI may appear. Alexander Cheyne, brother of John Cheyne late of Isnamstede Cheyne, to Thomas Cheyne esquire, his heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of the manor and advowson of Isnamstede Cheyne, of 600 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 100 acres of wood and 10s. of rent in Isnamstedecheyne, Chalfhunte St. Giles and Chalfhunte St. Peter, of all the lands called Chilternes and Blakettes, and of all the lands, rents, reversions and services in Bukinghamshire and Hertfordshire late of the said John. Robert Sare late of Bucton under the 'Bleen' to John Martyn, his heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of a messuage and garden with dovecote and curtilage, and 18 acres of land lying dispersedly in that parish, the messuage etc. lying near 'Keystrete,' and the land in 'Napyltounfelde' and 'Shephousecrofte' as metes and bounds shew, all which the grantor with Peter Napylton, John Ealdynge of Feversham, Henry Symond of Harnelle and John Bocton of Bucton aforesaid had by demise of John Rogger, John Feversham, Simon Erwelle and Richard Walet, and Peter Napylton and the others, by deed dated 20 December 21 Henry VI, made a release thereof to Robert Sare and his heirs. Indenture of gift of a yearly rent of 4l. to be taken of a piece of ground in Letherynsete called 'Poors' and of other his lands etc. in Clokwode in Cleye, Godewyns in Eggefelde and 'Caleyeshalle' in Geystwith co. Norffolk; and covenant to pay 40s. in name of a pain if that rent shall be six weeks in arrear and the grantor or his heirs or any other in their name shall replevy or rescue a distress.
