Westminster.
To the mayor of London. Order to leave all else and upon receiving these presents straightway to cause proclamation to be made, that none of the king's liege subjects of whatsoever estate, degree or condition shall under pain of forfeiture and imprisonment at the king's will hinder or trouble in person or goods any man of the Hanse or of Prucia before taking and ending of the diet hereinafter mentioned, and before publication of the conclusion thereof, and that all who claim or consider themselves wronged, injured or grieved by any man of the Hanse or of Prucia be in person or by proctor at the place and diet appointed with their complaints in due form engrossed in Latin under authentic seal containing details of such losses and wrongs, by whom committed, where, when and how, and to what they amount, as they will avoid being barred of their actions hereafter, certifying in chancery under seal when the proclamation is made, and sending again this writ; as for amends of attempts claimed to have been made on either side contrary to the ancient league and friendship between the king, his realm and subjects and the countries and inhabitants of Prucia and the Hanse, by agreement of either party a diet is appointed to be held at Utreight in May next, and purposing to keep those leagues of friendship the king has appointed ambassadors to be there on his behalf, and his will is that all his liege subjects who deem themselves aggrieved as aforesaid shall have notice thereof for their interest.

Receipt and acquittance of 60l. in full payment for the whole messuage and garden adjacent in the town of St. Albans in 'Chirche Strete,' in breadth between tenements of the abbot and convent on either side and extending in length from the street to lands sometime of William Thorp, and for the whole toft with curtilage adjacent there in a street called 'Dagenhale' in breadth between lands of the abbot and convent on either side and extending in length from the street to the said garden, as shewn by metes and bounds, which William Cheyne with John Broughton esquire, Robert Thorne mercer and William Tyler clerk had by feoffment of William Burgeys of St. Albans deceased upon trust to fulfil his last will, namely that in case Richard the testator's son should die without issue the same should be sold, and the money disposed for the souls of the testator, Joan his wife and his said son, their parents and benefactors, and of the faithful departed; and for that Richard Burgeys is dead without issue William Cheyne has sold the premises to John Ingham, his heirs and assigns.
