To the escheator in Gloucestershire and the march of Wales adjacent. Order to take the fealty of John Beauchamp knight lord Beauchamp, and to give him seisin of the manor of Wykewane, but to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with a moiety of the manor of Kenmarton and the advowson of the church, to present at every other turn, delivering to him any issues thereof taken; as it is found by inquisition, taken before John Heyward late escheator, that Cicely late duchess of Warrewyk at her death held no lands in chief nor of any other in her demesnes as of fee nor in service, but among other things held for her life in dower the said manor, moiety and advowson with reversion to the said John, for that William de Bello Campo late baron of Elmeley gave the same (among other things) to William de Bello Campo his son and to the heirs male of his body, with remainder to Walter de Bello Campo another son and to the heirs male of his body, that William the son died without issue male (sic), that the same ought to remain to the said John as cousin and heir male of the said Walter, namely son of William son of John son of Giles his son, and that the manor of Wykewane is held in chief by the service of one knight's fee as parcel of the barony of Elmeley, the said moiety and advowson of others than the king; and for half a mark paid in the hanaper the king has respited the homage of John Beauchamp until Midsummer day next.
