Westminster.
To the sheriff of Dorset for the time being. Order to pay to Eleanor duchess of Somerset, late wife and administratrix of Edmund Beauford earl of Dorset, the arrears of 20l. a year from 18 August, 20 Henry VI, to 2 May, 33 Henry VI, on which day the earl died as appears by divers inquisitions sent into chancery at the king's command and now on the chancery file; as by charter of 18 August aforesaid, for notable considerations him specially moving, the king advanced the said Edmund then earl of Mortain to be earl of Dorset, creating him earl with the honour and name to him due, and girding him with the sword, and granted that for the corpus, style or title of earl of Dorset he and the heirs male of his body should have 20l. a year of the issues or farms of that county.

Order to pay to the said Eleanor, late wife and administratrix of Edmund duke of Somerset, the arrears of 20l. a year to 2 May, 33 Henry VI (as above), upon the finding of an inquisition, taken before Robert Brounyng the younger late escheator, that by gift of King Richard II to John earl of Somerset his father and to the heirs male of his body, whose heir male the duke was, at his death the duke held in fee tail, to him and the heirs male of his body, the style, title, name and honour of earl of Somerset, and 20l. a year of the issues of that county.

Thomas Fyndern of Carleton co. Cantebrigge knight, and Edmund de la Mare late of Little Hereford co. Hereford esquire, to the king. Recognisance for 500l., to be levied etc. in the counties aforesaid.
Condition, that whereas for payment of 2,000 marks due to Thomas Fyndern lieutenant of Guysnes Castle and the hired soldiers thereof, by advice of the council the king by letters patent of 8 August, 35 Henry VI, gave licence to Henry Yonge of Guysnes in Picardy 'gentilman,' his deputies, factors or attorneys native or alien in the ports of London and Cicestre in the king's name to ship and carry beyond the mountains 500 sacks of wool, all that wool shall be carried beyond the mountains, and within one year after shipment letters testimonial under seal of the city of Cumae shall be brought into chancery witnessing that it has been taken thither.
